Database Administrator (DBA)

Job Description:

1. Installing, Configuring, Managing, Monitoring and troubleshooting SQL Server 2005/2008/2008R2/2012/2014/2016
2. Database administration activities like Installation, Configuration, Backup & Recovery, and Database Security.
3. Providing availability solutions like Mirroring, Log Shipping, Replication and Always on.
4. Database Up gradation and Migration
5. Ensure performance monitoring, backup, restore, and security recovery solutions.
6. Troubleshooting expertise in SQL server issues under production environment.
7. Handling the entire production servers with skills and understanding client's requirement Experience in Database administration activities for DB Security (creating users, roles, and assigning permission to them).
8. Automating process by creating jobs, and error reporting using Alerts by SQL Server Agent.
9. Backup and Recovery strategy, Database Refreshes.
10. Creation and maintenance of Databases, creating Roles and managing user permissions.
11. Setting up, trouble shooting and maintenance of production server databases.
12. Providing Production support for Database and Applications.
13. SQL Server store procedure, functions, View, Index and trigger development.

 

Job requirement:

1. Deep understanding of OS and its management including kernel space management
2. Experience with Linux servers in virtualized environments
3. Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as Bind, Apache, MySQL, Nginx, etc.
4. Experience in Monitoring tools like Nagios.
5. Familiarity with load balancing, firewalls, etc.
6. Proficient with network tools such as iptables, Linux IPVS, HA Proxy, etc.
7. Experience with virtualization technologies, such as Xen KVM and VMware.
8. Ability to build and monitor services on production servers

What you will be doing - 

• End-to-end Visa application processing for assigned countries
• Document verification, form filling, and pre-checks for visa submissions
• Coordinate seamlessly with Account Managers, Travel agents, & Accounts team
• Manage vendor relationships, ensure timely pickups/drop-offs.
• Update daily dashboards, trackers, and internal tool with application status
• Monitor progress of active applications and escalate delays proactively
• Maintain compliance with embassy, consulate, and country-specific requirements
• Adhere to TATs (Turnaround Times) and ensure SLAs are consistently met

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• 3+ years of proven experience as a Product Manager in the B2C segment
• Prior experience in the OTT / Streaming industry is highly preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Mandatory :

• Candidate must have 3–5 years of experience as a Product Manager in Growing Startups or Product-based companies, with proven experience in a B2C product environment.
• Candidate should have hands-on experience across the complete product lifecycle, including product vision and roadmap creation, requirement gathering and PRD documentation, feature prioritization and planning, execution with engineering teams and post-launch iterations.
• Candidate must possess strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to define and track product metrics and KPIs to measure success.
• Candidate should have significant experience collaborating with UX/UI and design teams, including user research, prototyping, and A/B testing to enhance user experience.
• Candidate must have a proven track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams, demonstrating strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Candidate should have experience developing and implementing user retention, engagement, and activation strategies to drive product growth and customer loyalty.

Position Overview:

Must Have Skills:

• Candidate with overall 8+ years experience with 3+years in database engineering, administration, and support and should have a minimum of 3+ years specifically in Mongo, Maria, and Oracle DB databases. 
• Expertise in Mongo/Maria/MySQL DB administration in a production environment. Must have hands-on NoSQL experience from evaluation of new frameworks to deployment, maintenance, and performance tuning of clusters.
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL landscape and available frameworks.
• Strong in Linux and network maintenance.
• Proficiency in one or more scripting languages, including Perl, Python, and Shell.
• Strong SQL skills and experience.

Good to Have Skills:

• Proficiency with Elastic and Redis is a big plus.

Qualification:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent technical training and professional work experience.
