PHP / Laravel / CI developer duties and responsibilities

• Develop, record and maintain cutting edge web-based PHP applications on portal plus premium service platforms.
• Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the frontend development team.
• Ensure HTML, CSS, and shared JavaScript is valid and consistent across applications.
• Prepare and maintain all applications utilizing standard development tools.
• Utilize backend data services and contribute to increase existing data services API.
• Lead the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and post launch support.
• Convey effectively with all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules along with technical and process issues.
• Document the development process, architecture, and standard components.
• Coordinate with co-developers and keeps project manager well informed of the status of development effort and serves as liaison between development staff and project manager.
• Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web development.

PHP / Laravel / CI developer requirements and qualifications

• Previous working experience as a PHP(Laravel/CI) developer for minimum 3 years.
• Proficient with JavaScript, JQuery and AJAX.
• In depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP (>=Laravel 7 or >=CI 4.0) framework.
• Should know about source version control like GIT or SVN
• Familiar with AWS & Linux command line will be added advantage.
• Understanding and implementing security and data protection
• Must be a team player with good communications.
• Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
• Great aptitude and attitude towards learning.
• Take full responsibility for task/project execution.
• Ability to prioritize own work and respect deadlines.

Skill Set Required:

• 3+ years of SDE work experience from Product based companies
• Experience in Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, Kafka, Hbase, AWS
  • Experience in Multi threading, distributed systems, Best practices of coding, scaling

• 5-7 years of web application and web site development with Drupal (corporate web sites, ecommerce sites, portals, mobile sites).
• 4+ years managing web application projects.
• Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing) and exposure to Agile or iterative SDLCs.
• Experience with one or more modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) React preferred
• Experience writing semantic, responsive HTML.
• Experience writing object-oriented PHP.
• Experience implementing web solutions in Drupal and PHP.
• Experience with Drupal’s theme layer.
• Experience with Drupal’s module system and experience writing or extending modules.
• Experience with Drupal’s Migrate framework.
• Experience with Drupal JavaScript behaviors.
• Experience with Acquia provided tooling and development workflows for Drupal 8/9 preferred.
• Experience implementing, accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG).
• Experience with CSS preprocessors (Sass, Less).
• Experience with version control tools (Git).

Must Haves

• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems.
• 4+ years’  work experience in  software development
• BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Understanding of operating system fundamentals (Linux)
• Understanding of scalable computing systems, software architecture, data structures, and algorithms
• Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills, with excellent problem solving abilities
• Working experience with Kubernetes
• Experienced working with distributed databases at scale

Good to haves

• Experience in developing software using AWS native services & technologies.
• Experience taking a lead role in building and operating scalable distributed systems
• Experience in Agile/SCRUM enterprise-scale software development
• Familiar with building secure software using modern security principles

Job Description :

We are hiring experienced PHP Developer responsible for developing web applications. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic.

You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.

- Design and Build Web Applications.

- Prior experience of custom APIs creation and good command with MySQL is required.

- CodeIgniter & Laravel prior knowledge is required.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

- Work with outside data sources and API.

- Should be able to develop the application with effective coding with minimal errors/bugs.

- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.

- Ability to be a self-starter, prioritize your work, stay organized, self-motivating and work and motivate well in a team environment is critical.

- Should be able to manage the whole project solely or in the team.
