Role & Responsibilities:

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly driven and strategic Manager - Investment (Startup Fundraising) to lead fundraising, manage investor relationships, and drive portfolio growth. The role requires a mix of financial expertise, investor engagement, and strong networking ability to achieve AUM growth and revenue targets. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in capital raising, managing HNIs/Family Offices/Venture Partners, and expanding investor networks.

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising & AUM Growth-

• Drive growth in Assets Under Management (AUM) by meeting set targets.
• Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets through investor onboarding and capital deployment.

Investor Relationship Management-

• Research, identify, and connect with high-potential investors (HNIs, Family Offices, Institutions).
• Nurture relationships with inactive investors and convert them into active contributors.
• Build long-term trust by ensuring transparency, timely updates, and strong portfolio communication.
• Proactively outreach and pitch BizDateUp’s value proposition and curated startup campaigns.
• Seamlessly onboard new investors, ensuring smooth KYC, onboarding, and activation.

Business Development & Conversion-

• Source, qualify, and onboard new investors through referrals, networking, and events.
• Leverage existing investor networks for introductions and referrals.
• Manage pipeline of new investor conversions and ensure smooth onboarding process.

Networking & Outreach-

• Represent the firm in industry events, conferences, and investor summits to expand reach.
• Stay updated on funding trends, investor behavior, and competitive landscape.
• Conduct one-on-one investor meetings to present opportunities and investment strategies.
• Establish strong connections with Venture Partners, Family Offices, and Institutional Investors for strategic collaborations.

Strategic Input & Reporting-

• Prepare and present investment proposals and performance reports.
• Work closely with the investment team to align fundraising strategy with portfolio needs.
• Track KPIs (AUM growth, investor reach-outs, referrals, event participation, conversions, revenue).

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong investor management profile
• 4+ years of fundraising experience, with at least 1 year in Category II AIFs (PE / VC / Credit / Special Situations) selling to HNIs, Family Offices, or Wealth Managers.
• Must be proficient in pitching investment opportunities and onboarding investors
• Must have experience conducting investor meetings & presentations
• Must have experience achieving revenue targets
• Must have experience representing the company at networking events
• Must understand startup valuation basics, portfolio reporting, investment products.
• Must prepare investment proposals, performance reports, and KPIs.
• No strict requirement, but finance background preferred.
• Must have high ownership and target-driven mindset.
• Preferably from VC firms, AIFs, Wealth Management, Investment Banking, or startup fundraising roles.
• Events industry
• Experience in startup funding events & roadshows

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed financial models including 3-statement, DCF, LBO, and scenario/sensitivity analysis

• Draft valuation reports aligned with SEBI, RBI, IBC, and Companies Act guidelines

• Create compelling pitch decks, teasers, and investment memorandums

• Conduct industry-specific research and apply appropriate valuation methodologies

• Ensure precision, compliance, and high-quality output in all deliverables

• Collaborate with internal teams and clients during the afternoon shift

Candidate Requirements :

Experience: 1–2 years in financial modelling and valuation

• Education: MBA (Finance),

Semi-qualified CA or CFA • Skills:

Advanced Excel & Google Sheets (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Index-Match, etc.)

o PowerPoint proficiency for investor presentations

o Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and valuation techniques

o Excellent English communication (written & verbal)

o Discipline to work independently in a remote setup with a fixed 2 PM–11 PM schedule

Key Responsibilities –

• Designing, maintaining and updating a suite of financial models for business valuation and strategic decision-making (for buy-side equity clients and SAAS companies)
• Involves conceptualizing framework, designing models and updating already developed models on monthly, quarterly, and need-based frequency
• Manage client engagements on a fully independent basis including one-to-one client communication and manage his/her work independently with end-to-end ownership of client
• Conducting financial and business analyses on various companies and preparing presentation decks and writeups for financing activities
• Preparing custom financial dashboards and screeners based on appropriate financial and operating metrics
• If required, manage 1-2 junior team members and train them on building domain/sector expertise
• Contribute/work on important pilot projects
• Create IPs/white papers/blogs/articles/teasers which can be used for marketing purposes

• Experience in financial modeling and end-to-end management of projects and communication with clients
• Excellent grasp of financial concepts and their application across all areas of financial analysis and valuation
• Proficiency in Excel-based analysis
• Aptitude for problem-solving and troubleshooting
• Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data quickly and draw meaningful insights
• High consciousness towards attention to detail; drive and commitment towards delivering high-quality Service
