Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior .NET Developer with a minimum of 7 years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, including post-live support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in .NET backend API development, Agile methodologies, and Cloud infrastructure (preferably Azure). You will play a key role in solution design, development, DevOps pipeline enhancement, and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure .NET backend APIs.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Lead and contribute to Agile software delivery processes (Scrum, Kanban).
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines and support release cadence targets, using Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform).
• Provide post-live support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution as part of full lifecycle responsibilities.
• Implement unit and integration testing to ensure code quality and system stability.
• Work closely with DevOps and cloud engineering teams to manage deployments on Azure (Web Apps, Container Apps, Functions, SQL).
• Contribute to front-end components when necessary, leveraging HTML, CSS, and JavaScript UI frameworks.
• Mentor and coach engineers within a co-located or distributed team environment.
• Maintain best practices in code versioning, testing, and documentation.

Mandatory Skills:

• 7+ years of .NET development experience, including API design and development
• Strong experience with Azure Cloud services, including:
• Web/Container Apps
• Azure Functions
• Azure SQL Server
• Solid understanding of Agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
• Experience in CI/CD pipeline design and implementation
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – preferably Terraform
• Strong knowledge of RESTful services and JSON-based APIs
• Experience with unit and integration testing techniques
• Source control using Git
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and cross-browser compatibility

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
• Knowledge of JavaScript UI frameworks, ideally Vue.js
• Familiarity with JIRA and Agile project tracking tools
• Exposure to Database as a Service (DBaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) concepts
• Experience mentoring or coaching junior developers

·      A thoroughly experienced OMS resource with preference to Blue Yonder OMS and good exposure in building custom microservices as extension points to OMS possessing good cloud knowledge.

·      Extensive backend development knowledge with core Java/J2EE and Microservice based event driven architecture with a cloud based architecture (preferably AWS)

·      Should be cognizant of key integrations undertaken in eCommerce and associated downstream subsystems which should include but not limited to different Search frameworks, Payment gateways, Product Lifecycle Management Systems, Loyalty platforms, Recommendation engines, Promotion frameworks etc.

·      Recommend someone having a good knowledge of integrations with downstream eCommerce systems like OMS, Store Systems, ERP etc.

·      Any additional knowledge on OMS and Store domains will be additional advantage.

·      Experience in Service Oriented Architecture - Developing/securely exposing/consuming Web Services – RESTful and integrating headless applications.

·      Should be able to understand system end-end, maintain application and troubleshoot issues.

·      Good understanding of Data Structures and Entity models.

·      Should have understanding of building, deploying and maintaining server based as well as serverless applications on cloud, preferably AWS.

·      Expertise in integrating synchronously and asynchronously with third party web services.

·      Good to have concrete knowledge of AWS Lambda functions, API Gateway, AWS.

·      CloudWatch, SQS, SNS, Event bridge, Kinesis, Secret Manager, S3 storage, server architectural models etc.

·      Knowledge on any major eCommerce / OMS platforms will have added advantage.

·      Must have a working knowledge of Production Application Support.

·      Good knowledge of Agile methodology, CI/CD pipelines, code repo and branching strategies preferably with GitHub or Bitbucket.

·      Good knowledge of observability tools like NewRelic , DataDog, Graphana, Splunk etc. with knowledge on configuring new reports, proactive alert settings, monitoring KPIs etc.

·      Should have a fairly good understanding of L3 support processes, roles and responsibilities.

·      Should work closely with counterparts in L1/L2 teams to monitor, analyze and expedite issue resolutions, reduce stereoptypes, automate SoPs or find avenues for the same by being proactive.

Should be flexible to work with overlap with some part of onsite (PST) hours as part of various client meetings and hand offs with Alo client leadership team

• OWASP Secure Code review,• Basic programing knowledge in any programming language and knowledge on secure development practices.
• OWASP TOP 10 vulnerabilities and their mitigations
• Hands on experience in Web Application Security Testing tools (SAST & DAST) and Penetration testing tools such as HP Fortify, Checkmarx, Acunetix, Nessus, Burp Suite, Metasploit., Qualys Guard, Kali Linux , etc.
• Understand/modify exploit code and find logical security flaws in applications
• Should have knowledge and experience on Network Security, Application Security, Internet Security, attack vectors.
• To carry out technical vulnerability assessments, identify potential vulnerabilities and provide recommended controls and support to mitigate them.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Plan, architect, integrate, and develop back-end and database driven features using the Python language and frameworks (Django, Flask, Tornado)

• Experience on Micro service architecture

• Strong knowledge on Web services/API

• Strong Knowledge on AWS/Azure, Docker, etc..

• Having great knowledge on software development methodologies, languages, technologies, security threats, etc.

• Create decoupled, interactive web UIs using JavaScript (Angular, Ember, jQuery, React Js)

• Provide technical advise and recommendations for language and software choices

• Develop code that is cross-browser and cross-platform friendly

• Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure all requirements are met

• Evaluate technologies and manage technical planning

• Support and ongoing development for existing projects

• Provide clean code and proper documentation for each project

• Assists in resolving moderately complex production support problems

• Strong writing and speaking skills (English)

Technical Requirements:

• At least 4+ years experience developing and deploying websites and applications

• Experience with Django

• Experience with Agile/SCRUM practices

• Hands on experience on database like PostgreSQL,MySQL, Mongo db, etc.

• Custom web based application development experience

• Comfortable collaborating with designers, front-end developers and other team members

• Object-oriented design and development strategies

The key skills and expertise needed are:

1. eCommerce/Retail experience can be optional but needs to have experience with any high volume customer facing web/mobile site

2. Web Development, Front End Development, AND In the browser performance profiling

3. Java, Spring Boot, React, Node, Redux, Webpack, Microservices, AND experience with AWS technologies to make the overall application stack more resilient

4. Performance Profiling of web/mobile experiences and experience with working in CICD environment

5. Experience working with Web based and mobile ecommerce sites or similar public facing websites with high customer volume

6. Needs to be able to work at the code level doing performance profile to evaluate how the website and associated digital platform is built to find performance improvement opportunities

• Candidate must have knowledge in the testing domain and must have knowledge of testing of web-based applications.
• The candidate will be responsible for the testing of web-based applications.
  The candidate will also act as the Business Analyst for the project. 
  The eye-catching ability to find bugs from a client’s perspective.
• Exposure to Automation Testing using Testing Tools such as (Selenium Web driver, TestNG, jmeter or similar tools) will be an added advantage.
• Good understanding of software development life cycle.
• Familiar with Database testing; good reporting & documenting skills.
