The Installation Technician is responsible for on-site installation, assembly, and fitting of company products (such as wardrobes, kitchens, furniture, fixtures, or equipment) as per design specifications and quality standards. The role ensures timely completion of installations while maintaining safety and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
· Carry out installation, assembly, and fitting of products (wardrobes, kitchens, sliding doors, fixtures, etc.) at customer sites.
· Read and interpret layout drawings, installation plans, and design specifications.
· Ensure all installations are completed as per company standards, within the given timelines.
· Conduct pre-installation checks, including site measurements and readiness verification.
· Handle tools, materials, and equipment responsibly and ensure proper maintenance.
· Coordinate with the project manager, designer, and client for smooth execution.
· Perform finishing work such as adjustments, alignment, and final inspection.
· Report any site issues, damages, or delays immediately to the supervisor.
· Follow all safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized work area.
· Provide on-site service support and rectify installation-related issues if required.
Overview:
We’re looking for a technically strong and pragmatic mechanical professional who can balance communication with hands-on execution. This role requires someone who understands the intricacies of mechanical systems, can review and manage complex drawings,manage engineering teams and also represents Hanomi confidently in technical discussions with clients and partners.
You’ll work closely with our product, engineering, and client teams to ensure that designs not only meet technical standards but are also production-ready.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers and drafters, fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the review, preparation, and management of mechanical drawings and associated documentation to meet client standards.
- Act as the primary technical liaison with clients, partners, and internal teams, ensuring clear and effective communication on project status, technical issues, and solutions.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance and support, stepping in directly for critical tasks and complex problem-solving as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to refine and optimize AI-driven drawing generation platform.
- Drive project execution, resource planning, and timeline management to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality outputs.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering or drafting, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or team lead role.
- Strong technical expertise in mechanical design principles, CAD systems (preferably NX, SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA), and 2D/3D drafting workflows.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage, mentor, and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders including clients and technical teams.
- Pragmatic, proactive, and comfortable adapting to dynamic project needs and tight deadlines.
- Experience in client-facing roles and project management is highly desirable.
- Develop and optimize computational geometry algorithms for reading a 3D CAD model
- Rapidly prototype, test, and refine geometric algorithms and software implementations
- Integrate and optimize 3D libraries into our software applications
- work closely with mechanical engineers to iterate on your algorithms
- while the algorithms drive the heuristics, you’ll also get to work with LLMs at scale for solving this very niche problem
What you bring to the table
- Strong expertise in computational geometry algorithms, CAD kernels, and geometric modeling
- Solid proficiency in C++ or Python; experience with Go, React, or Rust is a significant bonus
- Proven ability to quickly prototype, iterate, and deliver effective solutions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and clear communication
- Familiarity with mechanical engineering, CAD software, or related domains highly preferred
- Familiarity with building agents and LLMops
Your role at:
1. Understand product objectives, project documents, flow of code and create and execute tests accordingly.
2. Work with developers and in direct contact with our founders to set up, maintain and perform automated testing for micro-services and frontend.
3. Build and maintain tools and methodologies for our test development, coverage and reporting.
4. Including but not limited to documenting, creating and managing bug reports.
5. Maintain and improve our homegrown automated testing framework for running stress tests on video calls to accurately measure call quality.
6. Define/design testing framework from start to finish, integrated as a part of the development process.
7. Contribute to long term vision and strategy for QA and Test Automation with research of
trends and upgrades to remain relevant.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. An awesome SDET with 2+ years of experience with testing scalable distributed systems, exceedingly comfortable with writing code in JS.
2. Experience with test automation suites and have implemented an automated test using
selenium.
3. Experience with functional and load testing for RESTful APIs.
4. Comfortable digging/investigating the architecture of systems looking for potential problems and/or experience with bug tracking tools.
5. Problem solver who is not limited/hindered by programming languages. Open to learning new technologies to expand personal impact.
Bonus Qualifications:
1. Experience with testing real time applications like chatbots, games etc.
2. Experience with WebRTC.
3. Prior experience at a small startup.
