Profile: AWS Data Engineer

Key Requirements :

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to collect, process, and store from multiple datasets.
• Optimize data storage solutions for better performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Develop and manage ETL/ELT processes to transform data as per schema definitions, apply slicing and dicing, and make it available for downstream jobs and other teams.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand system and product functionalities, pace up feature development, and capture evolving data requirements.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and create curated datasets for downstream consumption and end-user reporting.
• Automate deployment and CI/CD processes using GitHub workflows, identifying areas to reduce manual, repetitive work.
• Ensure compliance with data governance policies, privacy regulations, and security protocols.
• Utilize cloud platforms like AWS and work on Databricks for data processing with S3 Storage.
• Work with distributed systems and big data technologies such as Spark, SQL, and Delta Lake.
• Integrate with SFTP to push data securely from Databricks to remote locations.
• Analyze and interpret spark query execution plans to fine-tune queries for faster and more efficient processing.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in large-scale distributed systems.

What You’ll Do:

We’re looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to help us build and maintain reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure. You will work closely with our development, product, and security teams to streamline deployments, improve performance, and ensure cloud infrastructure resilience.

Responsibilities:

● Deploy, manage, and monitor infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

● Build CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and integrate them with Git workflows

● Design and manage Kubernetes clusters and helm-based deployments

● Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform

● Set up logging, monitoring, and alerting (Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana)

● Ensure security best practices across cloud resources, networks, and secrets

● Automate repetitive operations and improve system reliability

● Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues in staging/production environments

What We’re Looking For:

Required Skills:

● 1–3 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps or SRE role

● Strong knowledge of GCP services (IAM, GKE, Cloud Run, VPC, Cloud Build, etc.)

● Proficiency in Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, troubleshooting)

● Experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning

● CI/CD pipeline setup using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools

● Understanding of DevSecOps principles and cloud security practices

● Good command over Linux, shell scripting, and basic networking concepts

Nice to have:

● Experience with Docker, Helm, ArgoCD

● Exposure to other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

● Familiarity with incident response and disaster recovery planning

● Knowledge of logging and monitoring tools like ELK, Prometheus, Grafana

Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.

Additional Job requirements

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science/Math or equivalent
• BS in computer science or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant professional software development experience: designing, developing, and delivering software written in Java, C#, or C++, web development.
• Knowledgeable in object-oriented design patterns.
• Experience building highly scalable and distributed systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with service-oriented architecture and application/services development
• Passion for performance debugging and benchmarking

Skill:-

• Candidate must be strong in logic and programming
• Perform all phases of software development life-cycle, including application design, programming, testing (unit and system level), internal documentation of code.
• Strong knowledge Native Android APIs
• Experience with internet technologies such as JSON, XML, HTTP, REST, AWS, MySQL
• Experience with analytics, crash reporting and other
• Core Data and integration with downstream REST APIs & services
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks like jQuery, AngularJS is plus
