Role Overview
We are looking for a highly dependable and detail-oriented Finance & Accounts Executive to manage core finance operations across accounting, compliance coordination, payroll support, vendor and customer reconciliations, and financial documentation.
This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, organized, and capable of independently driving finance processes in a dynamic work environment. Beyond transaction recording, this person should be able to maintain clean books, ensure process discipline, support timely closures, and provide reliable financial visibility to management.
Key Responsibilities
1) Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Manage day-to-day accounting entries in Zoho Books / ERPNext
- Record and maintain sales, purchase, expense, journal, and adjustment entries with complete supporting documentation
- Ensure proper ledger classification and accounting treatment of income and expenses
- Maintain accuracy and hygiene of books of accounts on an ongoing basis
- Support monthly and quarterly book closure activities
2) Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process vendor bills, payment requests, and employee reimbursements accurately and on time
- Track receivables and follow up internally for invoicing, collections, and payment status
- Maintain payable and receivable ageing reports
- Reconcile vendor, customer, and bank accounts regularly
3) Compliance & Audit Readiness
- Prepare and organize data required for GST, TDS, PF, Professional Tax, and other statutory compliances
- Coordinate with external accountants, consultants, or auditors for timely filings and documentation
- Maintain all statutory records, invoices, challans, agreements, and proof documents in an audit-ready manner
- Track compliance calendars and ensure no deadlines are missed
4) Payroll & Employee Finance Operations
- Support monthly payroll processing by validating inputs and preparing payroll-related data
- Maintain employee master data and finance-related HR records
- Support full and final settlement calculations, reimbursements, and payroll documentation
- Work closely with HR and operations teams to ensure smooth employee finance processes
5) MIS & Reporting Support
- Prepare regular finance reports such as:
- monthly expense summaries
- payable and receivable reports
- bank reconciliation summaries
- reimbursement trackers
- payroll cost summaries
- Assist management with accurate financial data, trackers, and reports for review and decision-making
- Highlight discrepancies, missing documents, delays, or financial process gaps proactively
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance operations, or bookkeeping
- Strong understanding of:
