Personal Secretary to the Offpriced Canada CEO (Kolkata)

About the Role:

Our CEO will be visiting Kolkata in November to set up our local branch, and we need a dedicated individual to start working remotely now, transitioning to a physical presence when the CEO arrives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting and administrative tasks for the CEO.

• Maintain financial records, prepare reports, and ensure accuracy in all documentation.

• Assist in planning and coordinating activities, including potential travel.

• Be ready to learn on the job; this is not a school, so come prepared with a solid foundation in your field.

Requirements:

• Degree in MBA, CA, Accounting, or related fields.

• Proficiency in Excel and other relevant software is essential.

• Knowledge of the fashion business is highly prioritized.

• Must be proactive, detail-oriented, and willing to physically come to work once operations begin in Kolkata.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced C++ Developer with a strong background in embedded systems to join our dynamic product engineering team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of recent hands-on experience in designing, developing, and optimizing high-performance embedded software applications using modern C++ standards (preferably C++11 or later). Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable software solutions using C++11 or above
• Work closely with hardware and embedded teams to implement and integrate real-time systems

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong recent exposure to C++
• Hands-on experience with C++11 or newer versions (C++14/17 preferred)
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and software design patterns
• Proficient in embedded system programming and real-time operating systems (RTOS)
• Experience in multithreaded programming and inter-process communication
• Proficient in debugging tools, performance analysis, and memory management
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working on low-level drivers, hardware integration, and peripherals
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum development methodologies
• Knowledge of tools such as GDB, Valgrind, JTAG debuggers, etc.

Roles and Responsibilities
1. Ability to work on diverse backend stack such as Node JS, Java, Express JS
2. Ability to work on diverse frontend stack such as React JS, Angular 6/7/8/9, HTML5, CSS3

3. Ability to deliver quick POC’s using cutting edge technologies.

4. Preparing reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software.

5. Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards

6. Developing, refining, and tuning integrations between applications. Analysing and resolving technical and application problems.

7. Ability to debug application.

8. Should have complete knowledge on developing RESTful Services.

9. Should be able to also work in agile development methodology.
10. Work with designated JavaScript framework to design, develop, and debug web applications
11. Can work on Angular and Integrate backend services
12. Work with the team to manage, optimize, and customize multiple web applications
13. Manage end to end module lifecycle management of the product
14. Push and pull codes via Git repository

Competency Requirements

1. Experience in NodeJS, Java and development using AngularJS / ReactJS
