🏢 About StepSecurity
- StepSecurity is on a mission to secure the modern software development pipeline. Our CI/CD security platform helps development teams using GitHub Actions harden their workflows, mitigate supply chain threats, and gain visibility into risky behaviors—all with minimal friction.
- We're a fast-growing, venture-backed startup trusted by security-conscious teams in both open source and enterprise environments. We've achieved 5x ARR growth and 4x customer base expansion in 2025, and are scaling rapidly toward ambitious revenue targets over the next two years.
🎯 About the Role
- We're looking for an AI-first Marketing & Revenue Operations professional who will be the operational backbone of our GTM engine. This isn't a traditional mops role, we don't want someone who manually manages CRM workflows and campaign sequences the old-fashioned way. We want someone who can train AI agents to do the work at 1000x scale.
- You'll be the person who sees the whole GTM chessboard: content, community growth, inbound signals, outbound targeting, and pipeline analytics. You'll partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Leadership to build systems, increasingly AI-powered that turn our rich market signals into revenue.
- This role is ideal for someone who has strong business acumen and GTM instincts, is comfortable working with AI tools like Claude Code to build and train agents, and thrives as a jack-of-all-trades in a fast-paced startup.
🔧 What You'll Do
- AI-Powered GTM Operations
- Build and train AI agents (using tools like Claude Code) to automate and scale marketing operations, content workflows, outbound targeting, and reporting
- Connect and orchestrate our GTM data across platforms (HubSpot, Clay, LinkedIn, community product signals, GitHub data) to create a unified view of pipeline and intent
- Develop automated enrichment and outreach workflows that turn inbound signals (community signups, LinkedIn followers, blog subscribers, free product usage) into qualified pipeline
- Continuously improve AI agent performance through feedback loops and reinforcement—your job is to train the agents, not do the manual work yourself
- Marketing Operations & Demand Generation
- Own and optimize our marketing technology stack, centered on HubSpot, with a bias toward platform consolidation over tool sprawl
- Build lead scoring models, campaign tracking, and attribution frameworks using a portfolio-level approach (measuring what categories of GTM activities drive results, not chasing perfect single-source attribution)
- Manage data quality, segmentation, and intent signal aggregation across multiple sources (RB2B, PostHog, LinkedIn, community product, GitHub)
- Develop LinkedIn as a pull channel: build workflows to capture follower/engagement signals, enrich via Clay, and route ICPs into nurture cadences
- Support our product-led growth motion—track free-to-paid conversion, community-to-enterprise pipeline, and self-service adoption metrics
- Revenue Operations & Analytics
- Design and maintain dashboards for pipeline visibility, forecast accuracy, and revenue metrics (HubSpot dashboards + Looker for deeper analysis)
- Establish and monitor KPIs across the customer lifecycle (MQL → SQL → Opportunity → Closed-Won), including self-service and PLG funnels
- Analyze deal velocity, win/loss rates, NRR expansion (especially land-and-expand / true-up opportunities), and customer health signals
- Partner with leadership on territory planning, capacity modeling, and Series A growth metrics
- Identify process bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement across all GTM functions
👤 Who You Are
- AI-native mindset: You instinctively reach for AI tools to solve problems at scale. You've used Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools not just for one-off tasks but to build systematic, repeatable workflows. Ideally, you have experience with Claude Code or similar agentic AI tools.
- Business acumen and GTM instincts: You understand how a go-to-market motion is built and run end-to-end. You see the whole chessboard—not just your domain silo. You can connect content strategy to pipeline generation to revenue outcomes.
- Systems thinker: You think beyond individual tools and channels. You understand how data flows between platforms, how signals from one channel inform actions in another, and how to build integrated systems rather than disconnected point solutions.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and speed: You thrive at an early-stage startup where you wear five hats, processes are still being built, and the playbook is being written in real time.
- 2-5 years of experience in Marketing Operations, Revenue Operations, Growth, or a related GTM role at a B2B SaaS company. We value adaptability and AI fluency over years of traditional mops experience.
- HubSpot proficiency: You know your way around HubSpot CRM and can build workflows, dashboards, and reporting without hand-holding. You have a bias toward maximizing platform capabilities before adding new tools.
- Data-driven: You're proficient with data analysis (Excel/Google Sheets, SQL is a plus) and can translate metrics into actionable insights for leadership.
- Available for US overlap: You are able to maintain overlapping working hours with US morning hours (India evening hours) to collaborate with the leadership team and cross-functional stakeholders in real time.
- 💡 Nice-to-Haves
- Experience at an early-stage cybersecurity, DevOps, or developer tools startup
- Familiarity with product-led growth (PLG) motions or open-source go-to-market strategies
- Experience with Clay, Common Room, or similar intent signal and enrichment platforms
- Hands-on experience building AI agents, automations, or skills using Claude Code, GPT, or similar tools
- Background in developer-focused or technical product marketing
- Experience with LinkedIn advertising and thought leadership amplification strategies
- Light scripting or API experience for building custom automations
- 🌟 Why Join StepSecurity?
- Shape the GTM foundation at a pivotal growth stage—you'll be the first dedicated marketing/revenue ops hire as we scale through a period of rapid revenue growth
- Build the future of AI-powered GTM operations—not just use existing playbooks, but pioneer how AI agents transform marketing and revenue ops
- Work with passionate, mission-driven teammates committed to securing software supply chains
- Fully remote with flexible hours
- Competitive salary + equity package
- Direct impact on company strategy and access to founders
- Opportunity for rapid growth as we scale—this role could evolve into Director/VP of Revenue Operations
