ABOUT THE ROLE

Rupeestop is a fintech platform helping people take control of their financial future. We're looking for a UI/UX Designer who is creative, curious, and genuinely excited about building intuitive, beautiful financial products. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and research teams to shape the experiences people interact with every day — and own your work end to end. We move fast, experiment often, and iterate relentlessly. You'll be expected to take full ownership, bring thinking that goes beyond your assigned tasks, and turn ideas into reality through design. If you get restless without the freedom to experiment and explore — you'll fit right in.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design user interfaces for mobile apps and web products — from wireframes to high-fidelity designs.

• Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing — and let insights drive your decisions.

• Build and maintain design systems, components, and style guides for consistency across products.

• Collaborate with product and engineering — iterate based on feedback, test assumptions, and evolve designs.

• Create prototypes and interactive flows to communicate ideas and test concepts with real users.

• Think about accessibility from day one — ensure designs work for everyone, everywhere.

• Experiment with new design tools, interactions, and approaches — push boundaries thoughtfully.

• Contribute to product strategy discussions — bring a design perspective to decisions early.

WHAT YOU NEED

• Solid grasp of design fundamentals — typography, color, layout, spacing, and visual hierarchy.

• Hands-on experience with Figma (or similar tools) — comfortable designing, prototyping, and collaborating.

• Understanding of user-centered design — empathy, research methods, and iterative design thinking.

• Portfolio with 2-3 strong projects that show your design thinking and problem-solving process.

• Familiarity with mobile-first design and responsive design principles.

• Basic understanding of design systems and component-based thinking.

• Ability to clearly explain your design decisions and present work to stakeholders.

• Strong communication and openness to feedback — you learn, adapt, and improve based on input.

GOOD TO HAVE

• Experience with user research — interviews, testing, analytics, or usability studies.

• Familiarity with design tokens, component libraries, or Storybook.

• Interest in fintech or financial products — understanding user needs in this space is valuable.

• Motion design or interaction design experience — bringing designs to life with movement.

• Basic HTML/CSS knowledge — helps communication with developers.

• Consistent use of AI design tools (like Midjourney, ChatGPT for brainstorming) in your workflow.

WHO YOU ARE

• A creative problem-solver — you see challenges and think of multiple approaches to solve them.

• Detail-obsessed: inconsistent spacing, unclear flows, and poor interactions bother you.

• A natural experimenter — comfortable trying new ideas, prototyping, testing, and iterating fast.

• Curious and empathetic — you genuinely care about understanding your users and their needs.

• Adaptable: priorities shift in a startup, and you handle change with flexibility and enthusiasm.

• Proactive: you don't wait to be told — you see what needs improving and start designing.

• Ready to grow into a leadership role — mentor others, raise design quality, and shape product vision.

  • Background in engineering toys, puzzles, construction kits, or logic games
  • Understanding of child development and age-based learning outcomes
  • Exposure to toy safety standards and durability testing
