Profile – Senior Production Manager

Experience: 15+ years of hands-on factory floor experience

Industry Experience: Minimum 5+ years in Namkeens / Snacks / Indian Food Manufacturing

Work Schedule: 6 days a week

• Role Overview
• The Senior Production Manager will lead and manage end-to-end manufacturing operations at the factory.
• This is a hands-on, factory-floor leadership role requiring deep experience in namkeens and snack production.
• The role will be critical in ensuring production efficiency, quality consistency, hygiene standards, and scalability as the business grows.
• The individual will work closely with founders, quality, supply chain, and operations teams to build robust production systems without compromising on taste, safety, or clean-label commitments.
•   Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily production planning and execution to meet volume, quality, and cost targets.
• Manage factory-floor operations, workforce planning, and shift management.
• Ensure inventory is readily available, both raw material & packaging material
• Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Optimize production processes to reduce wastage, improve yield, and enhance efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
• Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and quality across batches, especially for namkeens and snack products.
• Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure raw material availability and cost efficiency.
• Train, mentor, and manage production staff, supervisors, and line managers.
• Build and sustain a strong, performance-driven factory culture.

 Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience working on the factory floor 
• At least 5 years of specialized experience in namkeens, snacks, or similar Indian food categories.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of production processes, machinery, hygiene standards, and food safety regulations.
• Proven experience in scaling production for growing brands and improving operational efficiency.
• Ability to manage large factory teams and solve real-time production challenges.
• Practical, execution-focused leadership style with strong on-ground presence.
• Degree in Food Technology, Food Processing, or equivalent

Role:

The Associate Manager - Implementation plays a pivotal role in the business and carries a high level of responsibility. As well as overseeing all operational areas of the business, the role is central in supporting business growth. He/she interfaces directly with both customers and providers.

Responsibilities:

• End-to-end implementation of Intugine's solution at mid-market customers, ensure timely implementation by directing, guiding others, and applying various operational excellence tools to resolve problems including providing training.
• Travel to client locations to understand their needs, train them about Intugine's solutions and build relationships with them.
• Design and set up processes and work on continuous improvement of the set processes
• Collaborate with the technical team to set up or configure Intugine’s software platform as per clients’ requirements and troubleshoot technical issues raised by them.
• Set and monitor KPIs to access projects.
• Implement systems and processes that deliver improvement toward 100% conformance to client requirements.
• Research and analyze Intugine's new products and design a process for their implementation.

Requirements :

• 1-2 years of experience in product implementation
• B2B SaaS implementation experience preferred
• You must be able to see the big picture as well as the finer details, as your work is across the spectrum. You will deal in small daily matters, as well as larger aims and setting goals. A systematic organized approach to work is vital.
• Brilliant communication and interpersonal skills, for dealing with many types of people at all levels in a direct diplomatic way is essential. An understanding of customer/client requirements is a must.
• Soft skills, including effective time management, prioritizing, and delegation, are a must.
• Knowledge of SCM is a plus.
• Having natural creative flair and being full of ideas and energy to introduce new concepts and innovations would also be advantageous.
•  Desire to assume responsibility and work autonomously.
•  Highly organized and able to juggle numerous tasks.
•  Good written and spoken English (being a native speaker will be a plus).

• Responsible for leading and overseeing all operations in the company with Ownership

• Good networking with Packaging material suppliers, IIP/SIES & other packaging testing laboratories & with Plastic waste management entities such as Producer Responsibility Organizations (PROs)& recyclers.
• Basic appreciation of product development principles.  

• Working with business teams across the company to define requirements and high-level process/system solutions, leading cross-functional teams (10-25) and managing the timelines for field sourcing teams to support sourcing and on-boarding of supply
• Working on strategies to acquire supply for existing business and new product lines and executing through field teams
• Driving margins improvements by improving supply acquisition cost
• Improving driver engagement and adoption to technology
• Regularly communicating with senior management and clients on status, risks and change control
• Defining KPIs/KRAs on which would form the base for different processes

Desired Candidate Profile

• Graduates from Tier 1/2/3 engineering colleges and/or Tier 2/3 management colleges
• 2-10 years of frontline operational experience in B2B domain at a city/hub level
• Ability to adapt quickly to a new environment    

• Sourcing for the region (Maharashtra and Gujarat)
• Working closely with business development team and operations team to ensure the client expectations are properly met in terms of time and quality of sourcing
• Building and developing the required team to achieve the targets
• Driving efficiencies to maintain sourcing service levels and expanding margins of the region
• Building and implementing processes to increase the overall efficiency and reliability of the region
• Participating in cross-functional projects for high priority initiatives and bringing process and data- driven focused approach to support the organization's goals
• Driving change management to ensure efficient implementations of any new strategic change
• Collaborating closely with stakeholders like Operations, Finance, Product, Sales and New initiatives with the objective of driving stakeholder success
• Ensuring excellent customer and partner experience

Desired Candidate Profile

• Graduates from Tier 1/2 Engineering colleges/Post Graduate from Tier 1/2 Management colleges with good academic performance
• 4-8 years of frontline Operation/sourcing/channel management experience or P&L Management
• Strong leadership qualities to lead a large geographically spread team
• Ability to manage conflicts and good stakeholder management skills
• Multi-tasking capabilities and inter departmental coordination
• Product first mindset and relevant experience is a useful plus
• Experience in channel management in B2C space will be very useful
