Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Storage Administrator (L2) to manage, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise storage infrastructure, SAN fabric environments, and disaster recovery operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in HPE 3PAR/Primera storage, Brocade SAN switches, storage provisioning, replication, and incident management.

The role involves ensuring high availability, optimal storage performance, data integrity, and business continuity while adhering to ITIL processes and operational standards.

Mandatory Skills :

HPE 3PAR / Primera Storage Administration, Brocade SAN Switch Administration, Fibre Channel (FC) Fabric Management, FC Zoning, LUN Provisioning / Mapping / Masking, Storage Replication, Snapshot and Clone Management, ServiceNow Incident / Problem / Change Management, Storage Connectivity Troubleshooting, and Enterprise Storage Performance Monitoring.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Enterprise Storage Administration :

• Perform LUN provisioning, mapping, masking, expansion, and decommissioning across enterprise storage arrays.
• Monitor storage capacity, utilization, performance, and overall array health.
• Manage storage snapshots, clones, and replication activities.
• Troubleshoot storage-related hardware, firmware, and configuration issues.

2. SAN Fabric Management :

• Administer and maintain Brocade SAN switches and Fibre Channel (FC) fabrics.
• Configure and manage FC zoning, including single-initiator zoning and fabric connectivity.
• Monitor SAN fabric health and troubleshoot connectivity issues between hosts and storage arrays.
• Coordinate with server, network, and storage teams to resolve infrastructure issues.

3. Disaster Recovery and Data Protection :

• Support storage replication, disaster recovery (DR) operations, and recovery testing.
• Validate replication status and investigate replication failures.
• Assist with business continuity activities and ensure compliance with recovery procedures.

4. Linux and Host Connectivity Support :

• Troubleshoot server-to-storage connectivity, filesystem issues, and storage performance bottlenecks.
• Support Linux multipathing configurations and logical volume management (LVM).
• Perform basic Ubuntu/RHEL administration and filesystem troubleshooting.
• Analyze system performance using standard Linux diagnostic tools.

5. Incident, Problem, and Change Management :

• Handle incidents, service requests, problems, and change requests through ServiceNow.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
• Follow change management procedures and operational SLAs.
• Coordinate with OEM vendors, including HPE and Hitachi, for complex hardware, firmware, and technical issues.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and incident records.

Required Technical Skills (Must-Have) :

• Storage Administration : HPE 3PAR / Primera storage administration.
• SAN Switches : Brocade SAN switch administration and Fibre Channel fabric management.
• Storage Provisioning : LUN provisioning, mapping, masking, and capacity management.
• SAN Zoning : FC zoning, fabric health monitoring, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Data Protection : Storage replication, snapshots, and clone management.
• ITIL Operations : Hands-on experience with ServiceNow ticketing, incident management, problem management, and change management.
• Troubleshooting : Strong storage connectivity, performance, and infrastructure troubleshooting skills.

Good-to-Have Skills :

• Hands-on experience with Hitachi VSP storage platforms.
• Exposure to Ceph distributed storage.
• Experience with Cisco SAN switches.
• Ubuntu/RHEL Linux administration.
• Linux LVM, DM-Multipath, NFS, and CIFS.
• Linux performance monitoring tools such as top, vmstat, iostat, and sar.
• Linux package management using APT/YUM.
• Basic Bash scripting or storage automation using Ansible/Python.

Educational Qualifications :

• BE / B.Tech / M.Tech / MSc / MCA or an equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
• HPE, Hitachi storage, or Linux certifications are preferred.

Required Competencies :

• Strong analytical, logical troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills for working with OEM vendors and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage incidents and prioritize tasks in a time-sensitive environment.
• Proactive approach toward infrastructure availability, performance optimization, and service reliability.
• Willingness to work from the office five days a week in a 24×7 rotational shift environment.

Important Note : Interested candidates should have strong hands-on experience in enterprise storage administration, Brocade SAN fabric management, and ITIL-based infrastructure support.

• Collaborate with the network engineer to design infrastructure improvements and changes and to troubleshoot any issues that arise.
• Plan, design, and manage infrastructure technologies that can support complex and heterogeneous corporate data and voice infrastructure.
• Execute, test and roll out innovative solutions to keep up with the growing competition technologies that can support complex and heterogeneous corporate data and voice infrastructure.
• Create and document proper installation and configuration procedures.
• Assist in handling software distributions and software updates and patches.
• Oversee deployment of systems and network integration in association with partner clients, business partners, suppliers and subsidiaries.
• Create, update, and manage IT policies.
• Manage, & drive assigned vendors. Perform cost benefit analysis and provide recommendations to management

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, electronics, telecommunications or any related field.

* Minimum 10 years of experience in the above mentioned fields.
