Responsibilities and Requirements

• Experience in designing and maintaining high volume and scalable micro-services architecture on cloud infrastructure

• Knowledge in Linux/Unix Administration and Python/Shell Scripting

• Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS (EC2, ELB, S3, Auto-scaling, VPC, Lambda), GCP, Azure

• Knowledge in deployment automation, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (Jenkins, Maven, Puppet, Chef, GitLab) and monitoring tools like Zabbix, Cloud Watch Monitoring, Nagios

• Knowledge of Java Virtual Machines, Apache Tomcat, Nginx, Apache Kafka, Microservices architecture, Caching mechanisms

• Experience in enterprise application development, maintenance and operations

• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, judgment and decision-making skill

Job Responsibilities: - -

• Planned, implement, and maintain the software development infrastructure.
• Introduce and oversee software development automation across cloud providers like AWS and Azure
• Help develop, manage, and monitor continuous integration and delivery systems
• Collaborate with software developers, QA specialists, and other team members to ensure the timely and successful delivery of new software releases
• Contribute to software design and development, including code review and feedback
• Assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving when issues arise
• Keep up with the latest industry trends and best practices while ensuring the company meets configuration requirements
• Participate in team improvement initiatives
• Help create and maintain internal documentation using Git or other similar applications
• Provide on-call support as needed

Qualification Required:

1. You should have Experience handling various services on the AWS cloud.

2. Previous experience as a Site reliability engineer would be an advantage.

3. You will be well versed with various commands and hands-on with Linux, Ubuntu administration, and other aspects of the Software development team requirement.

4. At least 2 to 7 years of experience with managing AWS Services such as Auto Scaling, Route 53, and various other internal networks.

5. Would recommend if having an AWS Certification.

• Provision Dev Test Prod Infrastructure as code using IaC (Infrastructure as Code)
• Good knowledge on Terraform
• In-depth knowledge of security and IAM / Role Based Access Controls in Azure, management of Azure Application/Network Security Groups, Azure Policy, and Azure Management Groups and Subscriptions.
• Experience with Azure and GCP compute, storage and networking (we can also look for GCP )
• Experience in working with ADLS Gen2, Databricks and Synapse Workspace
• Experience supporting cloud development pipelines using Git, CI/CD tooling, Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code tooling as appropriate
• Configuration Management (e.g. Jenkins, Ansible, Git, etc...)
• General automation including Azure CLI, or Python, PowerShell and Bash scripting
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery models
• Knowledge of and experience in resolving configuration issues
• Understanding of software and infrastructure architecture
• Experience in Paas, Terraform and AKS
• Monitoring, alerting and logging tools, and build/release processes Understanding of computing technologies across Windows and Linux

• Design, Develop, deploy, and run operations of infrastructure services in the Acqueon AWS cloud environment
• Manage uptime of Infra & SaaS Application
• Implement application performance monitoring to ensure platform uptime and performance
• Building scripts for operational automation and incident response
• Handle schedule and processes surrounding cloud application deployment
• Define, measure, and meet key operational metrics including performance, incidents and chronic problems, capacity, and availability
• Lead the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and support of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
• Build out lifecycle processes to mitigate risk and ensure platforms remain current, in accordance with industry standard methodologies
• Run incident resolution within the environment, facilitating teamwork with other departments as required
• Automate the deployment of new software to cloud environment in coordination with DevOps engineers
• Work closely with Presales, understand customer requirement to deploy in Production
• Lead and mentor a team of operations engineers
• Drive the strategy to evolve and modernize existing tools and processes to enable highly secure and scalable operations
• AWS infrastructure management, provisioning, cost management and planning
• Prepare RCA incident reports for internal and external customers
• Participate in product engineering meetings to ensure product features and patches comply with cloud deployment standards
• Troubleshoot and analyse performance issues and customer reported incidents working to restore services within the SLA
• Monthly SLA Performance reports

As a Cloud Operations Manager in Acqueon you will need…. 

• 8 years’ progressive experience managing IT infrastructure and global cloud environments such as AWS, GCP (must)
• 3-5 years management experience leading a Cloud Operations / Site Reliability / Production Engineering team working with globally distributed teams in a fast-paced environment
• 3-5 years’ experience in IAC (Terraform, K8)
• 3+ years end-to-end incident management experience
• Experience with communicating and presenting to all stakeholders
• Experience with Cloud Security compliance and audits
• Detail-oriented. The ideal candidate is one who naturally digs as deep as they need to understand the why
• Knowledge on GCP will be added advantage
• Manage and monitor customer instances for uptime and reliability
• Staff scheduling and planning to ensure 24x7x365 coverage for cloud operations
