Looking for an Engineering Manager who will work with leaders to drive and implement platform and product vision and there by utilize deep understanding of technology stack and design to recommend appropriate software architecture and solutions to complex business problems. Duties & Responsibilities: • Translate the impact of architecture and design choices on non-functional attributes like scalability, performance, availability and security. • Manage multiple competing priorities and negotiate the best possible solutions. • Technical Breadth Exposure to a wide variety of problem spaces, technologies, and tools. • Very Strong System design and object orientation skills with ability to craft clean interfaces and operate at the right levels of abstraction. • Solid coding skills with ability to drive teams through massive refactoring exercise & improve coding standards • Good knowledge and working experience of large variety of multi-tier architectures and awareness of architectural and design pitfalls. • Experience & exposure to a variety of large-scale persistent systems including large databases. • Exposure to complete product development cycle from inception to production to scaling up, supporting new requirements, re-architectures. The Architect should have seen it all. • Should have been part of scalable product development cycles with either large data handling or large transaction processing exposure for 3+ years. • Proven experience as a leader capable of motivating and energizing the very best software engineers, as well as gaining their respect. Be the technical mentor to your team. Experience & Skills Required: • Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science or a related field. • Exp 7-10 years • Experience with managing people and projects. • Expertise in J2EE server technologies • Experience and understanding of a wide range of client-side technologies including HTML5, JQuery, JSON, AJAX, etc. • Experience with web technologies, Java, Linux, Apache, MySQL, solr, memcache, redis, javascript, ajax etc. • Experience with high performance websites catering to millions of daily traffic is a plus -Excellent teamwork skills, flexibility, and ability to handle multiple tasks. • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. • Experience with API Design, ability to architect and implement an intuitive customer and third-party integration story • Ability to think and analyze both breadth-wise (client, server, DB, control flow) and depth-wise (threads, sessions, space-time complexity) while designing and implementing services • Exceptional design and architectural skills. • Highly motivated, works well in a fast paced collaborative team environment
