🔹 Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

📍 Location: Bangalore

🕐 Shift: 1:30 PM – 10:30 PM

🏢 Work Mode: Tue–Fri WFO | Monday WFH

📌 Role Overview

The Senior SRE is responsible for ensuring system reliability, performance, and scalability by combining DevOps practices, automation, and proactive monitoring. The role focuses on incident prevention, system optimization, and operational excellence across enterprise platforms.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

⚙️ Reliability Engineering & Operations

• Ensure high availability and system health across production environments
• Monitor performance and proactively identify risks and bottlenecks
• Improve reliability using data-driven insights and baselining

🚨 Incident Management & Troubleshooting

• Lead major incident resolution across multiple technologies
• Perform deep-dive root cause analysis (RCA)
• Act as a technical escalation point during critical outages

🤖 Automation & Continuous Improvement

• Develop automation scripts using:
• Ansible
• PowerShell / Shell
• Eliminate manual work (reduce toil) through automation
• Improve logging, alerting, and auto-remediation mechanisms

📊 Performance Optimization

• Analysed and optimize application & infrastructure performance
• Identify operational gaps using analytics
• Continuously enhance system efficiency and scalability

🤝 Collaboration & SRE Practice

• Work with Agile product teams to improve reliability

• Reviews and refines software requirements.
• Drafts and executes test plans and test cases.
• Identifies and drafts steps to reproduce defects utilizing our defect tracking system, JIRA.
• Enters and tracks defects to closure.
• Utilizes testing tools to increase the effectiveness of testing.
• Maintains test environments that mimic our production systems.
• Maintains and updates Selenium driven UI automation test cases.
• Maintains and updates ReadyAPI API automation test cases.
• Maintains and updates manual test cases.
• Maintains and updates JMeter performance/load test cases.
• Coach, mentor, and assist the team in performing their duties as needed.
• Provide formal QA approval and reporting for each release.
• Operate within the SAFe Agile methodology.
• Coordinate with other QA teams across the company.

• Experience leading a SQA or Software Development team
• Experience managing projects and processes cross-functionally
• Comfortable working in a continually changing and dynamic environment and driving top issues to resolution
• Proven track record of attracting, hiring, motivating and developing the best quality-minded individuals
• Excellent cross-functional communication and influencing skills
• In-depth knowledge and experience in one or more of the following technologies: Java, Python, Selenium, JMeter, ReadyAPI
• Automation planning, execution, and triage for projects on multiple Platforms.
• Excellent presentation skills, distilling complex analysis and concepts into concise business-focused takeaways
• In-depth knowledge and experience in identity management including OpenID Connect, SAML2, OAuth2, and SCIM.
• In-depth knowledge and experience of application security testing.
• Unix command line scripting skills
