QA Sr. Engineer - Appium

Role: Senior QA

• Exp: 3-5 Years
• Salary: up to 80K INR Per Month
• Location: In Office, Ahmedabad (Maninagar)
• Acceptable Notice Period: Immediate To 30 Days

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans for the e-commerce gift card product, covering functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Manual Testing: Conduct thorough manual testing when necessary, focusing on critical paths, edge cases, and user experience.
• Bug Management: Identify, document, and track bugs using JIRA or similar tools. Work with the development team to prioritize and resolve issues.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers, to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure product quality.
• Performance Testing: Lead efforts to test the scalability and performance of the gift card platform, ensuring it can handle high volumes of transactions and users.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test reports.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Hands-on experience in developing scripts, designing test scenarios, test execution, monitoring, analyzing results, and reporting performance bottlenecks.
• Experience in setting up/designing load scenarios for various tests like load test, endurance test, stress test, etc.
• Expert level proficiency in Java and Javascript.
• Ability to work independently on project performance testing with minimal supervision.
• Provide technical input into planning efforts
• Create a technical testing strategy and technical scope
• Prepare, execute and monitor all testing activities
• Develop tools for the parsing of logs generated by the AUT
• Maintain test lab including the performance tools and the performance environment
• Analyze root causes of performance issues and provide corrective actions.
• Suggest new tools and techniques to improve testing efficiency.
• Assist in project planning, scheduling, budgeting and tracking activities.
• Provide support in project design, development and deployment activities.
• Review and recommend improvements to existing test procedures
• Identify and recommend NFR requirements for performance testing through analysis of product specifications and software requirements.

• Ensure that the testing environment is ready and available
• Good knowledge of 3-tier architecture, Application, and DB layer for a good understanding of test env.
• Able to understand the complex architecture of the product developed in various different technologies like .net, java.

Requirements: 

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in performance test Experience with Jmeter, Load RoadRunner/Performance Center, Blazemeter or any other load testing tools.
• Master’s / Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Experience in APM tools like Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics.
• A logical engineer mindset with analytical thinking.
• Ability to work well with the development team to propose solutions and take on the performance issues

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Performing Manual Functionality Testing
2. Preparing Documentation like Test Plan, User manual etc.
3. Co-ordination with Business team for requirement understanding
4. Providing operational support as needed

Skills & Qualification:

1. BE or MCA
2. 2+ years of relevant work experience
3. Experience in Manual Testing of App, Web and APIs
4. Basic Knowledge of SQL
5. Knowledge of JavaScript and Automation Tool like Selinium, Jmeter etc. is preferred

• Managing the solving of problems concerning the test automation infrastructure
• Understand and maintain Test Automation Frameworks.
• Follow the coding standards and code walk through.
• Maintain Automation Standards and Processes documentation.
• Write automated test scripts under the direction of the Test Automation Lead.
• Ability to work independently on tasks / modules assigned related to automation
• Monitoring of and reporting on the progress of the test automation process
• Reporting on the quality of the test object
• Raise risks on time and provide alternate solutions to mitigate the risk
• Advice and support for the implementation of all types of tools

• Defining, implementing and executing regression and stress automation tests focused on embedded software and device firmware level
• Analyzing automation test results for failures, identifying issue trends and quantifying impact
• Isolating and reporting defects effectively quantifying customer impact and verifying fixes through regression testing and other test methodologies
• Working cross-functionally with other QA teams, Developers and Project Managers

Desired Candidate Profile

• BE– CS/ECE, MS, ME, MTech
• 2+ years of QA experience, preferably on consumer hardware/ software products
• Automation experience in modern scripting or compiled languages (Python, JavaScript, C etc.)
• Experience with hardware and/ or software development lifecycle processes
• Knowledge of Unix and Unix shell scripting
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
• Deep understanding of SQA methodologies and practices
• Ability to solve hard problems with creative and sustainable solutions
• Be detail-oriented and strive for the best product for our customers
• Self-motivated with the ability to drive features to delivery
• Should have strong hands on experience in developing applications
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good logical sense, strong technical skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly
