Facade Engineer Qualifications and Skills
A proficient Facade Engineer should possess a combination of technical skills, soft skills and
industry knowledge to effectively design, review and manage facade projects.
These skills and qualifications include:
Strong understanding of facade systems, materials, and construction techniques.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues related to
facade design and construction.
High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with architects, project
managers, contractors and other professionals involved in the project.
Ability to use design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Rhino, or Revit for creating
detailed facade designs.
Knowledge of building regulations and safety standards relevant to facade construction.
Project management skills to oversee the project from the initial design stage to
completion, ensuring it is delivered on time and within budget.
Physical stamina and the ability to inspect construction sites and climb scaffolding if
necessary.
Proficiency in structural engineering principles as they apply to facade design.
Responsibilities
Design innovative and efficient facade systems and solutions
Perform thermal, structural and wind load analysis
Conduct detailed facade assessments and inspections
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to ensure project feasibility and success
Prepare and present technical reports and design proposals
Oversee the testing of facade materials and systems

Qualifications
Proven work experience as a Quality Facade Engineer or similar role

To ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance and stewardship across all phases of operations within the solar panel and battery manufacturing plant. This role will lead the implementation of proactive risk mitigation strategies, promote a culture of safety, and ensure sustainable and legally compliant environmental practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the HSE vision, policies, and systems aligned with corporate objectives and government regulations.
- Guide the organization towards a safety-first culture with clear KPIs for safety performance.
- Influence cross-functional teams to incorporate HSE into business planning and operational execution.
- Ensure compliance with Indian and international HSE laws, including Factories Act, Environment Protection Act, and Battery Waste Management Rules.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies such as MoEFCC, MPCB, and DISH for necessary approvals, inspections, and reporting.
- Oversee implementation of safety procedures specific to solar cell manufacturing (e.g., chemical handling) and battery production (e.g., lithium-ion risks).
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Monitor plant operations for potential environmental and safety hazards using modern risk assessment tools (e.g., HAZOP, FMEA).
- Design and execute regular safety drills, workshops, and certifications.
- Mentor site HSE managers and create a strong safety culture at all levels of the plant.
- Ensure behavioral safety programs and toolbox talks are embedded in daily routines.
- Sustainability and Environmental Management
- Develop programs for waste management, emissions control, water conservation, and clean energy usage.
- Implement ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 frameworks across the facility.
- Promote circular economy principles in battery lifecycle and solar module disposal.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health, or related field.
- NEBOSH/IOSH Certification or equivalent HSE qualification mandatory.
- 15+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in a large-scale manufacturing or energy plant.
- Deep understanding of solar and battery-specific safety and environmental risks.
Responsibilities:
- Interface with customer to evaluate safety goals, functional safety requirements; specify power electronic inverter controller safety concept
- Perform system safety analysis
- Generate technical safety requirement (detailed product safety requirement)
- Generate power electronics controllers technical safety concept (system architecture)
- Generate executable simulation model to analyze feasibility and verify completeness of technical safety concept
- Perform change management with the customer and internally
- Generate product functional test plan (compliance testing)
- Perform product functional testing on test bench and car
- Support customer test and validation programs
Qualifications:
- University degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering
- Knowledge on ISO26262 system development process is an advantage
- Experience on safety analysis (SFMEA, FTA, FMEDA, SW Freedom from Interference)
- Strong experience in power electronics
- Good experience on developing safety concept to detect sensor, actuator, motor and inverter control function
- Understanding of vehicle electronic requirements and power electronics systems requirements
- Good experience on electrical machine control and L2 torque estimation Matlab simulation
- Good foundation knowledge of both hardware and software
- Good communication skills
- Determining the necessary equipment, materials, and manpower needed and keep track of inventory, tools and equipment.
- Preparing reports regarding job status and resolve any problems that may arise.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and evaluate risks.
- Collaborating with subcontractors, engineers, architects and key team members of the project team.
- Planning construction operations and ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Allocating and managing resources to ensure that they are available whenever they are needed throughout the construction projects.
- Ensuring timely testing of construction material
- Ensuring Project Execution as per the design, drawings and specifications
- Coordinating with Chief Engineer for site related issues regarding resources and drawings, materials etc.
What you need to have:
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Project Management
- A minimum of 5-6 Years Civil Engineering experience
- Real estate industry experience preferred
- Exposure to High Rise Building/ Commercial Building/ Residential
