Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer (L2) to provide operational support for enterprise network infrastructure in a 24x7 global environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for incident management, network change implementation, troubleshooting, and ensuring the availability and performance of LAN, WAN, and Data Center networks.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide L2 support for enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and Data Center environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents related to routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, DNS/DHCP, and proxy technologies.
• Execute approved network changes while adhering to ITIL change management processes.
• Collaborate with L1, L3, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely incident resolution.
• Monitor network health and contribute to service improvements, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain documentation and support major incident and problem management activities.

Required Skills :

• Strong expertise in Cisco Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, HSRP/VRRP).
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, Nexus, Catalyst, ASR/CSR platforms.
• Experience with F5 Load Balancers (LTM/GTM).
• Knowledge of Infoblox DNS/DHCP administration.
• Experience with FortiGate Firewalls (Cisco ASA preferred).
• Exposure to Zscaler or Bluecoat Proxy solutions.
• Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, traceroute, nslookup, and dig.
• Experience with monitoring and automation tools like Spectrum, NetBrain, Observe, or Ansible.
• Good understanding of ITIL processes and ServiceNow.

Preferred :

• Experience working in BFSI environments.
• Exposure to global 24x7 support operations.
• Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

• Knowledge on Routing and switching Technologies like IGP, OSPF, EGP, BGP, STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, vPC, vDC, MSTP, LACP, VLAN

• Knowledge on Data Center, Cloud and Virtualization industry, ACI, Nexus products

• Experienced Knowledge on LAN SW Technologies like STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, vPC, vDC, MSTP, LACP, VLAN, VXLAN-EVPN, DCNM, OTV, Fex, Fabricpath, VXlan, LISP.

• Knowledge of Cisco switching Platforms like Cat 6500, 6800, 4500, 3850, Nexus 7K, Nexus 5k, Nexus 3K and Nexus9k (standalone and ACI)

• Experience in installation, configuration, testing and troubleshooting and/or Network solution designing of Cisco routers and switch

 Up to 10 years of hands-on experience in managing LAN,  WAN, SDWAN, DC Networking, WiFi.

 •  Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, L2/L3 switches, Wi-Fi 802.11 and SD-WAN networks experience.

 •  Experience in Implementation and Troubleshooting of  Wireless controller, Access Points, 802.1x, Wi-Fi protocols (802.11a/b/g/n/ae/ac)

 •   Good understanding of VLAN, VTP, DTP, 802.1Q trunk, STP, MSTP, ACL, SNMP config.

 •  Experience of working on Routers and Switches (Cisco ASR, ISR , Catalyst, Nexus )

 •  Experience in configuring and troubleshooting BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, EIGRP and static routes.

 •  Experience in configuring and troubleshooting STP, MSTP, RSTP, VSTP, HSRP, DHCP.

 •  Should have experience of configuration and management of Cisco viptela SDWAN solution.

 •  Prior experience in Implementation and migration projects involving above-mentioned technologies is mandatory.

·    Experience with different types of enterprise application databases (PostgreSQL a must)

·    Proficient in using SQL to interrogate, analyze and report on customer data and interactions on live systems and in testing environments.

·    Proficient in using PostgreSQL PL/pgSQL

·    Experienced in delivering deployments and infrastructure as code with automation tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, etc.

·    Comfortable using code hosting platforms for version control and collaboration. (git, github, etc)

·    Exposed to and have an opportunity to master automation and learn to use technologies and tools like Oracle, PostgreSQL, AWS, Terraform, GitHub, Nexus, Jenkins, Packer, Bash Scripting, Python, Groovy, and Ansible

·    Comfortable leading complex investigations into service failures and data abnormalities that touch your applications.

·    Experience with Batch and ETL methodologies.

·    Confident in making technical decisions and acting on them (within reason) when under pressure. 

·    Calm dealing with stakeholders and easily be able to translate complex technical scenarios to non-technical individuals.

• Good experience in AWS services like Elastic Compute Cloud(EC2), IAM, RDS, API Gateway, Cognito, etc.
• Using GIT, SonarQube, Ansible, Nexus, Nagios, etc.
• Strong experience in creating, importing and launching volumes with security groups, auto-scaling, Load Balancers, Fault-tolerant
• Experience in configuring Jenkins job with related Plugins for     Building, Testing, and Continuous Deployment to accomplish the complete CI/CD.

• Implement defined user interfaces and experiences based on technical specifications
• Reviews and develops requirements, generate designs, provides rough order of magnitude estimates, implements, and performs unit testing
• Collaborate with our team of educational application designers, graphic artists, backend systems engineers, QA, and operational teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-value educational software products
• Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills to negotiate different perspectives and goals

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Minimum of four years of software engineering experience
• Minimum of three years of software engineering experience building multi-tier enterprise applications
• Demonstrated track record of designing, developing, and delivering single page, web-based applications based on Angular.io or other similar JS libraries
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or relevant work experience
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, and Nexus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
