We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to take ownership of production infrastructure, cloud environments, Kubernetes platforms, and infrastructure automation. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges and is comfortable being responsible for systems in production.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and operate production infrastructure, including participating in an on-call rotation and responding to production incidents.
• Design, operate, and continuously improve Kubernetes clusters in production.
• Manage and automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, primarily with Terraform.
• Build, maintain, and optimise cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Work extensively with Linux, including system administration, networking, troubleshooting, and system-level configuration.
• Manage production deployment and GitOps workflows using ArgoCD.
• Improve infrastructure reliability, scalability, security, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive problems through to resolution.
• Develop automation and processes that reduce manual operational work.

Essential Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on experience operating production infrastructure, with personal ownership and responsibility for live systems, including on-call experience.
• Deep, hands-on Kubernetes experience — you must have operated and managed Kubernetes clusters, rather than simply deploying applications onto clusters managed by another team.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, with Terraform strongly preferred. Experience with Pulumi or CloudFormation is also considered.
• Strong experience with at least one major cloud platform, ideally AWS. Strong GCP or Azure experience is also welcome, provided you are willing to work with AWS.
• Strong Linux skills and confidence working from the command line, including networking, troubleshooting, system configuration, and performance issues.
• Production experience with ArgoCD and GitOps-based deployment workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take ownership of production incidents and infrastructure issues.

Nice to Have

Experience with email infrastructure would be a strong advantage, particularly:

What You’ll Be Doing

·      Analyse customer business requirements (as outlined in BBP and supporting documentation) and translate them into a Trezix system configuration map.

·      Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all functionalities within the Trezix EXIM Suite (Import & Export modules).

·      Understand and interpret customer requirements in the context of import/export regulations.

·      Configure key functionalities within the Trezix platform based on detailed business process flows.

·      Demonstrate strong understanding of Purchase-to-Pay (Import) and Sales Order-to-Invoice (Export) processes.

·      Familiarity with EXIM documentation including Shipping Bill, Bill of Entry, Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, etc.

·      Understand the EXIM ecosystem, including stakeholders such as CHAs, Freight Forwarders, and Logistics providers.

·      Manage data flows, process flows, and data types across systems – from ERP to Trezix and other third-party systems.

·      Configure system interfaces and middleware services for seamless data exchange between systems.

·      Design, configure, and troubleshoot APIs for inter-system communication.

·      Define user roles and authorization profiles to manage access control across functionalities.

·      Ensure compliance with application security protocols, including encrypted data transfer across systems.

·      Configure and deploy third-party API security integrations (e.g., Multi-factor Authentication).

·      Define and prepare sample datasets for process configuration and validation.

·      Conduct customer workshops, showcasing configured solutions and interacting with process owners.

·      Explain EXIM functional logic, duty computation, and system-calculated values to customer teams.

·      Document system configurations, functional specifications, and technical setups using standard templates.

·      Support and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with the customer core team.

·      Assist project management in preparing the production environment for Go-Live.

·      Own and execute the migration of configuration objects, interfaces, and customer-specific developments to production.

·      Conduct end-user training sessions and respond to queries during training and Go-Live support.

·      Develop end-user documentation and training materials to support adoption.

·      Provide hands-on support during Go-Live and Hypercare phases, guiding users through system transactions.

·      Troubleshoot functional and technical issues, coordinate with the development team for resolutions.

·      Identify and escalate security or technical issues to appropriate stakeholders for resolution.

What You Bring to the Table

ü Graduate / Postgraduate with relevant industry certifications.

ü A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in the Import-Export industry, with a proven track record in software implementation.

ü In-depth knowledge of Export, Import industry standards and regulations.

ü Advanced SAP experience (SD, MM, FI, Basis, ABAP) will be an advantage.

ü Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and client engagements simultaneously.

ü Proficiency in creating comprehensive project plans using charts or similar tools.

ü The job may require occasional travel to client sites for consultations and project-related activities.

Logistics:

- Daily freight rate Update to concerned departments.

- Negotiation of Ocean freight rate and arrange Quotation

- Booking Vessel and Container

- Daily Shipment status updation on excel sheet

- Monitoring the Lift on and Lift out of containers

- Monitoring daily Containers stuffing

- Monitoring the movement of export documents

- Co-ordination with operations team, CHA and Forwarder

- Tracking the shipment till delivery at destination

- Third party agency certifications & coordination

- Monitor freight & transportation invoices & coordinate on the same with Accounts department, CHA,

Forwarder, Vendors

- Reporting and tracking additional local charges

- Handling trouble shooting situations

- Miscellaneous routine tasks

- Follow up with Forwarders for release of D.O & container bookings etc.

- Prepare and maintain daily/Weekly & Monthly MIS Report

Reporting/Filing:

Conduct periodic reporting of all activities

- Manage documentation, filing, and record-keeping

Ad-hoc Activities:

- Assist in Ad-hoc activities

- Preparing reports - as required by Reporting Manager / Directors/ MD

- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

- Periodic logistics related visits, & meeting with vendors, CHA, forwarders as & when required by Reporting

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES OF POSITION:

• Provides input to the Project Procurement Plan and Project Material Responsibility Matrix.
• Responsible for the Project Material Management Plan & the Project Material Management Procedures and ensures alignment with Engineering, Purchasing, Logistics and Installation, O&M.
• Provides input to the Engineering Material requirements and verification of Quantities & Contingencies to support Installation, O&M required on Site as per Installation, O&M philosophy.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

Job Specific:

• A thorough knowledge of Mechatronics & material management practices within the process automation industry (typically water-wastewater).
• Strong knowledge & understanding of material requisitioning, expediting, logistics, site material management & shop & field fabrication.
• General knowledge of Process Automation electrical and instrumentation materials.

Standard Competencies

Experience:

Required:

• 7+ years, with a minimum of 5 years project material management experience in a multi-discipline team environment.

Guide:

• Minimum of 7 years mechatronics engineering experience in oil and gas, petrochemical industry or equivalent, or water- west water
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a project material management or coordination role, or
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as material controller or material coordinator.
• Additional experience in Installation, O&M site, supply logistics or offsite module/spool fabrication is an advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in operating ERP based material management system is required.
