Job Summary:

As a Freight Broker, you will be responsible for facilitating the transportation of goods between shippers and carriers. Your role will involve managing logistics, building relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely deliveries. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals looking to start their careers in logistics and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

Build Relationships:

Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to understand their needs and preferences.

Load Matching:

Identify and match available loads with appropriate carriers, considering factors such as capacity, routes, and pricing.

Negotiation:

Negotiate rates and terms with carriers to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining profit margins.

Documentation:

Prepare and manage necessary shipping documents, including bills of lading and contracts.

Track Shipments:

Monitor shipments throughout the transportation process to ensure timely delivery and address any issues that arise.

Customer Service:

Provide excellent customer service by communicating with shippers and carriers, addressing inquiries, and resolving disputes.

Market Research:

Stay informed about market trends, competitor activity, and industry regulations to enhance operational effectiveness.

Database Management:

Maintain accurate records in freight brokerage software and databases.

Requirements:

 Bachelor’s degree preferred.

 Proven Experience with OTR, Drayage.

 Proven experience (6+ months) as a Freight Broker, in logistics, or a similar role.

 Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

 Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.

 Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Must have experience in Leather or garment export house.

· Export Documentation: Prepare and manage all pre-shipment and post-shipment export documents, including invoices, packing lists, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, and other required shipping documents.

· Coordination with Buyers & Shipping Lines: Communicate with buyers, freight forwarders, customs agents, and shipping lines to ensure timely shipment and smooth documentation processing.

· Customs & Compliance: Ensure compliance with export regulations, customs laws, and DGFT policies. Handle export incentives, duty drawbacks, and export obligations.

· Banking & Payment Processing: Handle LC (Letter of Credit), bank negotiations, remittances, and documentation required for payment processing.

· Coordination with Internal Teams: Work closely with production, logistics, and finance teams to ensure the timely execution of export orders.

· Tracking & Reporting: Maintain shipment records, track shipments, and update management on export status.

· Client Communication: Handle buyer queries related to export documentation, shipping, and compliance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing the entire order cycle of timely booking of Orders / Invoicing / Dispatching / and providing timely dispatch details to customers and team

• Coordinate with various internal teams such as Accounting, Warehouse, Transportation and Sales Team, etc. to execute the dispatch.

• Checking and Verification of Purchase Orders, Credit Limit, Prices, Items, Eway Bills, LR Copy and other things related to dispatch.

• Rechecking of Sales Invoice Made.

• Regular follow-up with warehouse and transporters to ensure that material is received to the client before/on time.

• Ensuring minimum freight charged to customers and our company from the transporters.

• Timely responding to all the dispatch-related calls, emails and queries.

• Maintaining accurate and complete data entry for the dispatch/logistics on the system.

• Protect the organization's reputation by keeping pricing, promotion, purchase order, and credit-limit information confidential.

• Ensuring customer satisfaction at all levels.

• Handling and assisting other dispatch team members.

• Ensuring stocks are available as per Stock Minimum Order Level.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Prior work experience as a Logistics and Dispatch Manager.

• The candidate should have strong verbal skills and be able to send emails and communicate on a regular basis.

• Record of successful distribution and logistics management.

• Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff of Logistics, Warehouse and Transporters.

• Developing and communicating shipment schedules.
• Liaising with vendors and carrier services to coordinate logistics and timelines.
• Assisting customers and resolving shipment issues and complaints.
• Preparing and maintaining shipment paperwork, records, and digital databases.
• Collect shipping data from various websites/documents and enter in the database system.
• Create spreadsheets with extracted data without mistakes.
• Verify / Analyze data by comparing it to source documents, update existing data
• Performing additional duties as needed.
• Prepare daily reports/summaries and send it to Managers / TLs / Clients etc.
• Good typing/communication skills.

As Oracle BSA, you will be part of a team responsible for building and supporting the key design solutions, Interfaces, and day to day activities. You will work alongside Solution Architects and Technical team to design/build/support the existing Oracle EBS system.

Experience & Skills

• Have strong functional and analytical skills on problem solving and suggest solutions.
• Working functional knowledge on Oracle Procure to Pay, Inventory and WMS modules.
• Should have ability to work independently on Project deliverables.
• 5-10 years of experience in implementation and support of procurement systems.
• Experience in end-to-end solution design in Procure to Pay and Inventory modules.
