What you'll do

The Software Engineer will serve as a full stack developer within the AI and Automation team, focusing on building AI agents, chatbots, and automation solutions. The role involves taking ownership and accountability to meet commitments, developing software using programming languages, and designing, executing, and reporting on system and service tests to ensure applications function as required. Additional responsibilities include monitoring, diagnosing, and resolving technology issues, as well as supporting team members by carrying out prescribed design activities using established procedures.

What you'll bring

3+ years of experience in full stack application development using Python (for backend) and JavaScript/Typescript (for frontend).

Strong understanding of Java.

Strong understanding of Machine Learning /MLOps using Python .

Familiarity with Agentic AI frameworks.

Familiarity with Kubernetes (K8S) and Docker.

Experience in developing solutions using Azure storage and compute solutions.

Proven experience working with Azure AI solutions, especially AI Foundry and AI Search.

Experience in developing distributed event-driven applications using brokers such as Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, Solace, or Azure Event Hub.

Proven experience in working with DevOps frameworks, GIT, and CI/CD pipelines.

Experience developing integrations using established Enterprise Application Integration patterns and tools such as Apache Camel.

Required Qualifications

Specify the minimum educational qualifications necessary for this role, including degree type, field of study, and level attained.

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline and possess practical experience in software development. Degrees in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology are particularly advantageous.

• Support tasks (Ticket analysis, data uploading, performance tuning, job monitoring, any analysis task, ReportGeneration and etc.,)
• Level 2 and Level 3 support (Support process adherence)
• Functional and technical or solution documentation preparation
• Execution will either be Waterfall or Agile
• The process needs to be followed as defined by RBEI or RBEI’s Customer
• Preparation & participation in the project status and review meeting

• Implementation of the overall web architecture
• “Pixel-perfect” implementation of our approved user interface
• Design and deployment of our database
• Ensuring the entire stack is designed and built for speed and scalability
• Design and construction of our REST API
• Integrating our front-end UI with the constructed API
• Adhering to the continuous integration and deployment strategies.

Skills

• At least four years experience with:
• Writing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Being up on the latest practices is a must, e.g., HTML5, CSS3, JQUERY
• A relevant back-end programming language e.g., C# .NET, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, ADO.NET, .NET Core
• Database design and management, including being up on the latest practices and associated versions
• Server management and deployment for the relevant environment preferably on Azure.
• Familiarity with a relevant and globally supported framework—both front-end and back-end, if necessary— e.g., Angular, React
• Ideally, familiarity with CSS preprocessors, bundlers, and associated languages/syntaxes/libraries
• Thorough understanding of user experience and possibly even product strategy
• Experience implementing testing platforms and unit tests
• Proficiency with Git or any other configuration management systems.
• Appreciation for clean and well-documented code
• Experience with third-party controls like Sync Fusion Controls / Telerik
• Bachelor’s in computer science or Equivalent Degree

Role & Responsibilities

• A Proven work experience as a Ruby on Rails developer with good understanding of Java script, jQuery, HTML, CSS. The individual will need to be hands on with development, performance optimisation, secure development process, usability, and coding standards of the product.
• Strong ROR development experience and follows best practices (test-driven development, continuous integration, SCRUM, refactoring, and code standards).
• Should have a mix of excellent reasoning ability to document, develop and test software with the commitment to excellence and defect free product before being deployed.
• Should be able to work closely with all stakeholders to investigate, fix, optimise, test, and deploy high quality solutions.
• Should have hands on understanding of technical design, implementation, and maintenance of technical initiatives towards improving and scaling of products.
• Self-motivated and should rapidly incorporate new requirements and deliver successfully by self.
• Effectively communicates with peers and stakeholders, gathers and clarify requirements from technical & functional aspect.

• Follows software development process; consistently innovates processes to improve individual and team productivity and quality.
• Strong Analytical, Problem Solving Skills and participates in all activities with urgency, should be result oriented and with strong work ethic.
• Experience with Agile development lifecycle with excellent understanding of feature estimation and ability to communicate issues and risks that may impact timelines or resources.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 4+ years of IT experience.
• At least 4 years commercial web development experience.
• At least 3 years of Ruby on Rails commercial development experience.
• Familiarity with Relational and Non Relation Databases ( Postgres, Mysql, MongoDb)
• REST API development.
• Familiarity with In Memory Database ( Redis, Memcache )
• Web development - HTML, HTML5 JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, jQuery, http, REST.
• AGILE/SCRUM development Experience.
• Development practices - Rails test framework / TDD / BDD, Domain Driven Design, SOLID, refactoring, OOP design patterns
• Expertise in version control system ( GIT )
• Candidate need to be comfortable dabbling with some basic infrastructure management on AWS.
• Familiarity with ( React, Vue ) is a plus.

Design

·       Design a Service Platform that will serve a large scale of users 

·       Prepare design based on requirements and direction provided by product manager

·       Research and consult with SMEs to ensure the design is most suitable to meet the requirements

·       Present and explain design decisions and gain consensus within in the team

·       Propose UI/UX design decisions that align with requirements and expectations

·       Create any support documentation required for future design updates and validation

Develop

·       Document development plan to implement requirements (Senior)

·       Manage development project tasks and schedule (Senior)

·       Establish development lifecycle model to suit the needs of the project (Senior)

·       Build & configure the base platform based on Open Source solution

·       Manage sprint cycle releases and track development progress 

Quality

·       Conduct Integration testing to ensure platform is stable

·       Track any issues and ensure that defects are resolved in the next release

·       Demonstrate new features at the end of the sprint
