Pace Robotics is a construction robotics startup incubated by SINE IIT-Bombay and backed by Pidilite Ventures and IIMA Ventures. We are making the building construction process faster, smarter and efficient through robots that can do advanced construction tasks and digitize execution data in real time. Our first product is a modular wall finishing robot for putty, sanding and painting of building interiors. 

What you will do: 

• Assemble and install systems for electrical energy supply, control, signaling.
• Assemble and test PCBs, electronics circuits, dot boards; prepare bench test setups
• PCB/electronics troubleshooting and debugging, circuit analysis
• Solder SMD, QFN, SOIC, SSOP, TQFP, DIP ICs and components
• PCB/circuitry design and schematics, cable harness design
• Assemble manually and mechanically, crimping, screwing, clamping, plugging, soft soldering, gluing etc.
• Wire built-in components and assemblies to each other using overhead, duct, cables.
• Commissioning electrical power systems, control, signaling as well as electrical safety and monitoring devices.
• Perform measurements; Check the condition and functioning of electrical equipment and system components. Narrow down or determine errors.
• Fill out maintenance documents, create test and repair reports
• Work through instructions, documents and samples.
• Handle operations and maintenance of our fleet of robots

Who you are: 

• ITI/Diploma in Electronics/Electrical Engineering from reputed institute
• Min. 4-5 years’ experience in electrical/electronics field
• Working exp. with soldering, wiring, wire harness fabrication, relays, contactors, circuit-brakers, servo-motors, surge protectors, transformers, rectifiers, inverters, dc-dc convertors, SMPS, battery etc
• Knowledge/working experience with digital components and circuitry, power electronics, micro-controllers/processors,  lab equipment like oscilloscopes, function generators etc, familiar with common industrial grade sensors
• Ability to work from office and travel to construction sites and independently handle robot site operations/trials/pilots
• Should have very good knowledge of line testing, resistance, voltage, connectivity and frequency testing
• Ability to handle multiple and diverse electrical/electronics projects in individual and team settings
• Experience in automotive/aerospace/defense equipment domain is preferred

Responsibilities and Duties

• To Lead and execute the whole of the procurement function or in parts for Commercial Interiors category as per company norms
• Responsible for purchase decisions that impact cost of purchase, quality of purchase and timeliness of delivery etc of the purchase in relation to commercial interiors
• Implement Industry best practices for Purchase / Procurement by implementing Processes including automation of purchase processes, creating and revising existing procedures and formats used for purchase, updating the database and enhancing vendor connect
• To ensure internal customer delight by timely processing of quotes received from the site / vendors, evaluation of vendors in the line of priority for cost/quality/delivery/process compliance etc, management of payment cycles, inventory management and implementing effective mechanisms in purchase management
• Managing team of procurement executives or offices and freshers wherever applicable to deliver the team objectives by managing team interactions effectively and in collaborative manner . Equally so to manage individual contributor role in procurement function
• Responsible for periodic purchase related MIS and relevant daily, weekly and monthly reports to the management

Main tasks

• Supervision of the CI/CD process for the automated builds and deployments of web services and web applications as well as desktop tool in the cloud and container environment
• Responsibility of the operations part of a DevOps organization especially for development in the environment of container technology and orchestration, e.g. with Kubernetes
• Installation, operation and monitoring of web applications in cloud data centers for the purpose of development of the test as well as for the operation of an own productive cloud
• Implementation of installations of the solution especially in the container context
• Introduction, maintenance and improvement of installation solutions for development in the desktop and server environment as well as in the cloud and with on-premise Kubernetes
• Maintenance of the system installation documentation and implementation of trainings

Execution of internal software tests and support of involved teams and stakeholders

• Hands on Experience with Azure DevOps.

Qualification profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in communications engineering, electrical engineering, physics or comparable qualification
• Experience in software
• Installation and administration of Linux and Windows systems including network and firewalling aspects
• Experience with build and deployment automation with tools like Jenkins, Gradle, Argo, AnangoDB or similar as well as system scripting (Bash, Power-Shell, etc.)
• Interest in operation and monitoring of applications in virtualized and containerized environments in cloud and on-premise
• Server environments, especially application, web-and database servers
• Knowledge in VMware/K3D/Rancer is an advantage
• Good spoken and written knowledge of English

• Creating project estimates and scoping the solution based on clients’ requirements.
• Delivery on key project milestones in line with project Plan/ Budget.
• Establishing individual project plans and working with the team in prioritizing production schedules.
• Communication of milestones with the team and to clients via scheduled work-in-progress meetings
• Designing and documenting product requirements.
• Possess good analytical skills - detail-orientemd
• Be familiar with Microsoft applications and working knowledge of MS Excel
