Roles & Responsibilities

Selected engineer's day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Maintaining UNIX user accounts and access managements,

• Good understanding of LDAP vs local IAM management.

• Setting up repositories and maintaining.

• Should be very comfortable with troubleshooting Linux-based systems on issues and failures with good grasp of the Linux command line

• Specialist knowledge in Unix Technologies – RedHat , SUSE Linux & SOLARIS.

• Good hands-on experience in parallel filesystems.

• Good understanding on basic networking technology e.g. TCPIP, ip multipathing, ip aggregation, DNS, DHCP etc.

• Comfortable exploring and testing new Open Source software systems should the need arise to solve particular problems

• Setting up and maintaining SUSE and Red hat Clusters with DRBD, Stonith and Coro sync

• Good knowledge in virtualisation/hypervisor technologies on various operating platforms e.g. VMWare, HPE Service Guard cluster

• Good understanding of the various enterprise technologies e.g. SAN, enterprise backup, enterprise monitoring etc

. • Good knowledge in handling NFS file systems and NFS servers

• Troubleshooting performance issues

• Shell, Power shell and python scripting

• Creating custom image based on the security requirements • Planning and executing security patches periodically

Education, Experience & other requirements

Ø Degree in Computer science, Information technology or any related discipline

Ø Minimum 4 - 5 years of experience into Unix server’s setup, administration, upgrading and support.

Ø Good verbal and written communication and able to manage key stakeholders i.e. project team, security, compliance and IT operations

Ø Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Role Summary

As a Data Engineer, you will be an integral part of our Data Engineering team supporting an event-driven server less data engineering pipeline on AWS cloud, responsible for assisting in the end-to-end analysis, development & maintenance of data pipelines and systems (DataOps). You will work closely with fellow data engineers & production support to ensure the availability and reliability of data for analytics and business intelligence purposes.

Requirements:

·      Around 4 years of working experience in data warehousing / BI system.

·      Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake AND strong programming skills in Python

·      Strong hands-on SQL skills

·      Knowledge with any of the cloud databases such as Snowflake,Redshift,Google BigQuery,RDS,etc.

·      Knowledge on debt for cloud databases

·      AWS Services such as SNS, SQS, ECS, Docker, Kinesis & Lambda functions

·      Solid understanding of ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts

·      Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git/bit bucket, etc.) and collaborative development practices in an agile framework

·      Experience with scrum methodologies

·      Infrastructure build tools such as CFT / Terraform is a plus.

·      Knowledge on Denodo, data cataloguing tools & data quality mechanisms is a plus.

·      Strong team player with good communication skills.

JD - System Analyst

1. Analysis and design of technical functionality and features.
2. Creation of requirements document and definition, Epics, User stories and addition of same to Fresh Release.
3. Facilitate daily scrums, stand-ups and meetings to monitor project progress and resolve any issues the team may be experiencing.
4. Collaborate with product owner and stakeholders and clear project obstacles and impediments that could slow down the team’s progress.
5. Meet and coordinate with internal stakeholders to establish project scope, system goals, and requirements.
6. Help the team boost their productivity and performance and helps development team create high-quality products.
7. Arrange and optimize product backlog.
8. Develop, analyze, prioritize, and organize requirement specifications, data mapping, diagrams, and flowcharts for developers and testers to follow.
9. Translate highly technical specifications into clear non-technical requirements.
10. Manage the set-up and configuration of systems. Provide documentation of all processes and training as needed.
11. Define and coordinate the execution of testing procedures and develop test cases to serve the overall quality assurance process.
12. Draw up, supervise and document testing schedules for complete systems.
13. Perform design, implementation, and upgrades of information systems to meet the business and user needs.
14. Implement best practices for scalability, support ability, ease of maintenance and system performance.
15. Identify options for potential solutions and assess them for both technical and business suitability.
16. Oversee implementation of a new system including data migration.

• 2- 4 years’ experience in solution integration/delivering, and interfacing with customers.
  
• Hands-on experience in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Experience of working in agile teams in implementing large scale digital solutions.
• Good in programming & analytical skills
• Experience in dynamic programming language Python with Django
