Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer with strong expertise in network security, firewall administration, Check Point, Juniper SRX, routing protocols, and Python scripting. The candidate will be responsible for managing, configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing enterprise network infrastructure while ensuring secure and reliable connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise network devices, firewalls, and security appliances.
• Administer and maintain Check Point firewalls, including security policies, NAT rules, VPNs, and access control.
• Manage Juniper SRX firewalls, including security zones, policies, NAT, IPsec VPNs, and threat prevention.
• Implement and troubleshoot routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and static routing.
• Perform network troubleshooting related to connectivity, packet loss, latency, routing, and firewall traffic.
• Configure and maintain site-to-site VPNs and remote-access VPN solutions.
• Monitor network performance, analyze traffic logs, and investigate security incidents.
• Perform firewall rule reviews, configuration backups, software upgrades, and security patching.
• Develop Python scripts to automate network configuration, monitoring, reporting, and routine operational tasks.
• Work with network monitoring tools, packet analyzers, and logging platforms to identify and resolve network issues.
• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), change management, and network maintenance activities.
• Maintain network documentation, configuration standards, and operational runbooks.

About the Role

We are looking for a NOC Technical Escalation Lead to serve as the final technical escalation point for the NOC team across Campus and Security technologies. This role owns critical issue resolution, mentors the L2 team, and acts as the primary technical liaison during high severity customer and internal escalations—including driving calls with vendor TAC and external teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the final technical escalation point for the NOC team on Campus technologies.
• Own and delegate escalations to the L2 team, driving issues through to resolution.
• Plan and execute technical upskilling initiatives for the NOC team.
• Handle and resolve escalations from both customers and internal stakeholders.
• Lead and drive technical calls with vendor TAC (Aruba, Juniper, Fortinet) and other external teams during critical incidents.
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) across core networking and security domains, staying current with new technologies and vendor solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Wired and Wireless networking, Firewalls, NAC, and SDWAN.
• Working knowledge of vendor platforms: Aruba, Juniper, Fortinet.
• Proven experience handling L2/L3 escalations in a NOC or network operations/support environment.
• Experience working directly with vendor TAC teams to resolve complex issues.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills, with the ability to manage high pressure escalations.
• Ability to mentor and upskill junior engineers (L1/L2).
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving vendor stacks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant professional-level certifications (CCNP, ACP, any firewall certifications e.g. NSE4 or above, Palo Alto).

• Preparing Scope of Work and Project Plans for the Solution.
• Preparing High Level & Low Level designs as per proposed Solution.
• Design and Implementation of Routing and Switching technologies.
• Design and implementation of Data Centers on SDN technologies e.g. Cisco ACI, VMware NSX.
• Campus LAN and Wireless design, Implementation and Troubleshooting.
• Design and implementation of software defined campus network e.g. Cisco DNA, SD-Access
• Design, Implementation of WAN, and SDWAN Technologies.
