As a Shopify & WooCommerce Developer, you will be expected to create & maintain Espresso's e-commerce client websites.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Shopify expert, specializing in all facets of the ecommerce platform.
• Designing and implementing new features and functionality
• Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS such as WordPress+WooCommerce.
• Extending Shopify’s functionalities to next level using storefront APIs, liquid programming, meta fields, etc
• Setting up payment integration, shipping methods and taxes in Shopify platform
• Page speed optimization of Shopify + WooCommerce sites
• Thoroughly QA work prior to submission

Skills Required

• Strong hands to Install & Customize new Shopify theme
• Strong hands to Install & Customize new WooCommerce theme
• Demonstrated ability to code in Shopify Liquid, HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, jQuery.
• Proficiency in PHP/MYSQL
• A thorough understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
• Understanding of and experience in the latest headless ecommerce technologies such as JAMSTACK, Gatsby etc.
• Knowledge in other e-commerce platform like Magento & BigCommerce will be a bonus.

Job Description: 

This role requires you to be a tech-savvy contributor in translating customer needs and user requirements into an interactive web-based application. You must be a good problem solver, have keen attention to detail and take responsible actions in ensuring the application is optimized both in technology and in delivering the best user experience.  

Work closely with product and engineering teams to create elegant, responsive and interactive interfaces.  

Handcraft UI/UX designs into prototypes  

Write reusable components and address performance issues of the product. 

Requirements: 

Bachelor Degree / Masters in Engineering (ECE or CSE preferred)  

A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a Web, UI or Frontend Engineer 

Work experience in React JS / React TS and Data structure is a must. 

Sound knowledge in JavaScript, HTML and CSS,  

Working knowledge of Git: creating, merging branches, cherry-picking commits, examining the diff between two hashes. 

Be able to write clean and maintainable code with attention to performance 

Keen eye for design, and have experience of debugging using browser console. 

An ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and bring in optimal flow for rapidly changing design. 

AWS experience is a plus although not mandatory.
