Role Overview

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will be responsible for managing regional sales operations, onboarding and developing retail partners, and driving revenue growth within the assigned territory. This role requires hands-on experience in the smartphone/mobile sector and strong relationships within the regional market.


Key Responsibilities

Channel & Partner Onboarding

  • Identify and onboard potential mobile retailers and partners within the assigned region
  • Ensure partners clearly understand product offerings, sales processes, and operational guidelines
  • Own end-to-end onboarding, including documentation and commercial formalities
  • Build long-term relationships with newly onboarded partners


Sales & Business Growth

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets for the assigned territory
  • Drive store-wise performance through target setting, order planning, and stock management
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regional demand
  • Ensure effective product visibility and brand presence at retail counters


Partner Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong ongoing relationships with existing partners
  • Act as a communication bridge between partners and internal teams
  • Support partners in resolving operational, commercial, and payment-related issues
  • Focus on partner retention and long-term business growth


Eligibility Criteria


Education:

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management or related field


Experience & Skills:

  • 4+ years of experience as TSM / ASM in a Smartphone or Mobile Device company
  • Strong exposure to regional market operations
  • Proven experience in channel sales, retailer management, and payment realization
  • Good communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
