Job Overview :

We are looking for a seasoned Data Engineer to join the Data Platform Engineering team supporting a Unified Data Platform (UDP). This role requires hands-on expertise in DBT, GCP, BigQuery, and PySpark, with a solid foundation in CI/CD, data pipeline optimization, and agile delivery.

Mandatory Skills : GCP, DBT, Google Dataform, BigQuery, PySpark/Spark SQL, Advanced SQL, CI/CD, Git, Agile Methodologies.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines using BigQuery, DBT, and PySpark.
• Leverage GCP-native services like Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Cloud Functions, and Composer for ETL/ELT workflows.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD for data engineering projects with Git-based version control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Infra, Security, and DataOps for reliable, secure, and high-quality data delivery.
• Lead code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and enforce best practices in data engineering.
• Participate in Agile sprints, backlog grooming, and Jira-based project tracking.

Must-Have Skills :

• Strong experience with DBT, Google Dataform, and BigQuery
• Hands-on expertise with PySpark/Spark SQL
• Proficient in GCP for data engineering workflows
• Solid knowledge of SQL optimization, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
• Agile team experience and strong problem-solving abilities

Nice-to-Have Skills :

• Familiarity with Databricks, Delta Lake, or Kafka
• Exposure to data observability and quality frameworks (e.g., Great Expectations, Soda)
• Knowledge of MDM patterns, Terraform, or IaC is a plus

Role & Responsibilities

• Expertise with various Pharma datasets such as Sales, Rx, Claims, Specialty Pharmacy etc.
• Consulting with US pharma clients to plan, design and execute consulting projects.
• Understand business problems and requirements to recommend solutions.
• Designing dashboards with the use of visualization tools like Power BI, or Tableau
• Strong knowledge of Data Management concepts
• Optimize BI Solutions for performance and intuitiveness.
• Own accounts independently and ensure delivery excellence and quality
• Managing team of offshore Analysts for delivery operations
• Manage project deadlines and deliverables with minimal supervision.
• Develop solutions based on BI platforms such as custom extensions, and NLG/NLP-based solutions.
• Analyzing the data to identify trends and share insights.
• Providing support to pre-sales and marketing initiatives within Datazymes
• Participate in client discussions, demos, and Proof of Concepts development.
• Mentor team on data, technology, and business aspects to ensure seamless delivery.

Ideal Candidate

• Mandatory (Experience 1) : Must have 4+ years of Data Visualization/ Data Analytics Dashboard experience of which 2+ years is in pharma industry
• Mandatory (Experience 2) : Must have 2+ years of hands-on experience working with pharma datasets (Sales, Rx, Claims, Specialty Pharmacy data)
• Mandatory (Skill 1) : Must have experience translating business requirements into analytics / BI solutions and generating actionable insights
• Mandatory (Skill 2) : Must have strong experience in BI tools (Tableau / Power BI / Qlik) including dashboard design, development, and optimization
• Mandatory (Skill 3) : Must have strong SQL skills and working knowledge of Python for data analysis
• Mandatory (Skill 4) : Must have strong understanding of commercial analytics and data modelling
• Mandatory (Client Exposure) : Must have experience working with external clients or stakeholders and participating in client discussions, demos, or consulting engagements

Responsibilities & Qualification:

· Should have managed a regional or pan-India team in credit card collections.

·  Strong people management skills and ability to motivate a team across multiple

locations.

· Must have strong relationships with collection agencies across the country and be

able to drive their performance.

· Ability to set targets and ensure goal orientation among the team members.

·  Must have a basic understanding of underwriting policies that work and don’t work

for unsecured lending.

· Sound knowledge of how to read credit bureau reports / data and credit bureau

processes. Must be able to suggest ways to leverage credit bureau data for

improving underwriting and collections.

· Familiarity with collection systems for collection of dues from delinquent borrowers.

Experience in implementing a collection system would be preferable.

·  Should be data driven and comfortable with numbers; should be comfortable with typical

credit risk portfolio reports.

· Familiarity with incentive plans for collectors/collection agencies including their

pitfalls.

·Should be ethical and act with integrity to ensure there is no reputational risk to

the organization.

· Must have sound knowledge about all rules and regulation (particularly those

relating to credit card collections) and ensure compliance with these across

the risk organization.

Azure DE

Primary Responsibilities -

• Create and maintain data storage solutions including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Blob Storage.
• Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines for data ingestion, processing, and transformation in Azure Create data models for analytics purposes
• Utilizing Azure Data Factory or comparable technologies, create and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) operations
• Use Azure Data Factory and Databricks to assemble large, complex data sets
• Implementing data validation and cleansing procedures will ensure the quality, integrity, and dependability of the data.
• Ensure data security and compliance
• Collaborate with data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable and reliable data platform architectures

The DEs should be well versed in coding, spark core and data ingestion using Azure. Moreover, they need to be decent in terms of communication skills. They should also have core Azure DE skills and coding skills (pyspark, python and SQL).

Out of the 7 open demands, 5 of The Azure Data Engineers should have minimum 5 years of relevant Data Engineering experience.
