Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Law Officer to handle day-to-day legal responsibilities and provide comprehensive legal support to the organization. The role involves legal analysis, drafting, advisory, compliance management, and litigation support across multiple legal domains. The candidate will closely assist the Head – Legal in operational and strategic legal matters.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Advisory & Drafting
· Draft, review, and vet legal notices, agreements, contracts, MOUs, deeds, and other legal documents.
· Produce high-quality legal opinions on a wide range of matters.
· Handle legal documentation related to company law, banking law, contract law, and intellectual property rights.
· Draft court documents such as plaintsd, petitions, written statements, objections, affidavits, etc.
· Vet sale deeds, lease agreements, and commercial contracts.
Litigation & Dispute Management
· Assist in handling arbitration proceedings and related documentation.
· Possess detailed knowledge of court proceedings and procedural stages.
Manage and support proceedings before:
Civil and Commercial Courts
· Consumer Forums
· Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC)
· Electricity Appellate Tribunal (APTEL)
Compliance & Regulatory
· Handle all ongoing statutory and legal compliances of the company, including labor and employment laws.
· Review and advise on HR policies to ensure compliance with applicable labor laws.
· Support compliance requirements under electricity laws and sector-specific regulations.
Research & Reporting
· Conduct in-depth legal research on specific subjects and regulatory matters.
· Prepare research notes and legal reports for internal stakeholders and management.
Support to Head – Legal
· Assist the Head – Legal in day-to-day legal operations and strategic initiatives.
· Coordinate with external counsel, law firms, and regulatory authorities when required.
Required Candidate Profile-
Qualifications & Experience
· Law graduate (LLB) from a recognized university.
· Active Bar Council registration is mandatory.
· Experience working in a law firm or corporate legal department (any relevant practice area).
Skills & Knowledge
Strong knowledge of:
· Company Law
· Banking Law
· Law of Contracts
· Intellectual Property Laws
· Electricity Laws (Good to have)
· Experience in agreement drafting and contract negotiation.
· Knowledge of title scrutiny of agricultural land documents and conversion of land from agricultural to non-agricultural use.

Job Title: Legal Assistant
Experience Level: 1–3 years

Shift Time: US Shift (EST/ PST)
Overview
We are hiring a Legal Assistant to support our U.S.-based legal team. This is a client-facing role requiring professional English proficiency. While North American experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. The ideal candidate will have strong legal drafting and research skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in legal and administrative software.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Research and Analysis
· Conduct legal research using Westlaw, public databases, and AI tools, etc.
· Interpret statutes, case law, and regulations.
· Draft memos of law summarizing findings to support litigation strategy.
Document Preparation and Management
· Draft and proofread legal documents including: Demand letters, Cease and desist letters, Complaints, Notices of motion, Affidavits and affirmations, Subpoenas, Deposition preparation materials, Letters and emails to courts and agencies.
· File documents with courts and administrative bodies.
· Maintain organized case files and calendars using software like Practice Panther or Clio (as per client requirements).
· Format documents in PDF, DOCX, Word, CSV, XLSX.
· Create document templates within case management systems.
Client Communication and Case Management
· Conduct client intake and gather relevant documentation.
· Maintain professional communication with clients, courts, agencies, and legal teams.
· Track case progress and update records in case management software.
Trial Preparation

Legal Assistant responsibility include:
- Negotiate, review, drafting, vetting of various contracts and agreements
- Drafting knowledge of notices/reply notice/letters to any govt., & Non-Govt. authorities.
- Drafting of other miscellaneous documents like Power of Attorney, Undertakings required as per the need of business, Memorandum of Understanding, No Objection Certificate (NOC)
- Responsible for supporting Groups Secretarial function, convening of Board shareholders & Committee Meeting
- Attending and handling court cases, case notices and handle all litigation matters with support of external counsel;
