Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable production professional to support manufacturing operations within our Machine Division. The role focuses on achieving production targets, improving productivity and quality, and optimizing manufacturing costs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering
- 5–7 years of experience in machine manufacturing industries
- Experience in production operations at a middle-management level in a medium-sized manufacturing setup
Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations
- Achieve production targets with optimal utilization of manpower and materials
- Organize production and assembly areas for smooth workflow
- Implement Kaizen initiatives and maintain shop-floor discipline (1S, 2S)
Process & Quality Improvement
- Review daily production, assembly, and quality issues
- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing and assembly processes
- Ensure final product acceptance at QC and packing stages
Manufacturing Execution
- Oversee in-house shop floor activities including machining, welding, fabrication, grinding, polishing, and laser marking
- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, and Quality teams for material availability
- Ensure material issuance, production confirmation, and subcontracting follow-ups

General Manager - Operations
Department: Operations
Location: Goa (Corlim Industrial Estate)
Reports To: BOD Role
Summary: The General Manager – Production will lead the overall production function of the Elastic Plant in Goa, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality output. The role is responsible for achieving daily, monthly, and annual production targets, driving continuous improvement, managing production teams, and aligning plant activities with corporate goals while maintaining health, safety, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning & Execution
• Oversee daily and long-term production schedules to meet delivery timelines and output targets.
• Coordinate with SCM, Maintenance, and QA for uninterrupted production flow.
• Monitor real-time production KPIs and take immediate corrective actions when needed.
2. Capacity Utilization & Productivity
• Optimize plant capacity and resource utilization (manpower, machines, materials).
• Drive initiatives for improving machine efficiency, reducing downtime, and eliminating bottlenecks.
• Implement lean manufacturing and productivity-enhancing practices.
3. Quality Control & Compliance
• Ensure adherence to product specifications and quality standards.
• Work with QA/Technical teams to address quality issues and customer feedback.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, statutory regulations, audits, and certifications.
4. Cost Optimization
• Monitor production costs and control wastage of raw materials, utilities, and manpower.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cost per unit through process improvement and waste reduction.
5. Team Management & Development
• Lead and manage production supervisors, line managers, and floor staff.
• Define roles, set individual KPIs, monitor performance, and provide developmental feedback.
• Ensure effective training programs for skill development and safety practices.
6. Safety, Health & Environment
• Ensure adherence to all safety norms and regulations across the production floor.
• Promote a culture of safety and conduct periodic audits and drills.
• Ensure environmental compliance in waste disposal and energy usage.
7. Reporting & Reviews
• Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production reports with key metrics.
• Participate in management reviews and provide insights into production performance.
• Propose improvement plans based on data trends and performance gaps.
Qualifications & Experience
• Education: Degree in Mechanical/Textile/Industrial Engineering or related discipline. Postgraduate qualification preferred.
• Experience: 12–15 years in production/manufacturing roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Industry Preference: Elastic/Narrow Fabric, Textile, Garments, or Process Manufacturing.

Requirements
- BTech or MTech degree in engineering or relevant fields
- Having deep knowledge in the Agile mindset.
- Experience in working and applying Agile for a minimum of 2 years in a software development team is required (Scrum Master role is preferred).
- Confidence in working with multiple Agile teams.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Certification of the following is a plus: PSM, PSPO, PSK, PAL, PMI-ACP, etc.
