About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Scientist who is passionate about solving complex data problems and developing cutting-edge solutions. This role requires someone with a strong technical background in data science, with full-stack development exposure from requirement gathering to solution deployment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working as an individual contributor and as an active team member.
Key Responsibilities
· Translate business challenges into ML solutions by understanding customer needs and the broader context.
· Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and feature engineering on large-scale datasets.
· Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Python code for data processing, modeling, and analysis, following MLOps best practices.
· Build, optimize, deploy, and monitor scalable machine learning models and pipelines on cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP is a plus)
· Actively participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions to drive innovation and best practices.
· Lead client discussions and present actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders effectively.
· Mentor junior data scientists, providing guidance on model development, best practices, and technical problem-solving.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s or master's degree in Metallurgy, mechanical, IT, Computer, or a related field from IIT, NIT, or top university.
· 4+ years of experience in data science and machine learning.
· Experience in the metal industry, manufacturing industry, or similar industry exposure
Technical Skills
· Strong Python programming skills with experience in libraries like Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
· Strong foundation in ML & AI, covering statistical analysis, time series forecasting, deep learning, and optimization, with expertise in ML techniques like Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, Neural Networks, SVM, Clustering, PCA, Reinforcement Learning and and optimization algorithms.
· Proficiency in cloud platforms such as Azure [Preferred], AWS, or GCP.
· Good to have experience with real-time AI model deployment in industrial environments [On-premises, cloud or edge]
· Familiar with SQL and NoSQL databases.
· Understanding of MLOps, including model versioning, monitoring, and deployment.
· Good to have knowledge of deep learning architectures and techniques for computer vision, NLP, and generative AI is plus
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to debugging and optimization.
· Effective communicator and team collaborator in agile, fast-paced environments.
