Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Architect for Web Applications to join our dynamic product development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web application architecture, design, and development, along with a passion for staying up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies. As an Associate Architect, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior developers, and play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of our web applications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

Development and Coding:

• Participate in hands-on development of components and features, ensuring code quality, performance, and security.

In this dual role, you will lead our engineering team and contribute hands-on to developing our B2B SaaS platform, which aims to revolutionize blue-collar worker training in India. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, set engineering standards, and ensure the successful execution of our technology initiatives.

As Head of Engineering:

• Oversee the recruitment, mentoring, and performance management of engineering team members.
• Define and maintain engineering best practices, coding standards, and development methodologies.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets

• Drive technical decisions and architecture discussions to ensure scalability, security, and maintainability.

As Senior Backend Developer (Go):

• Design the architecture and implement high-performance, scalable, and reliable backend services in Go.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while ensuring the security and integrity of the platform.
• Optimize and fine-tune the backend components for maximum speed and scalability.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless integration with frontend and external systems.
• Implement asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture for handling concurrent requests efficiently.
• Work on data modelling and integration with databases for data storage and retrieval.
• Write unit tests and perform code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure robustness.

• Key responsibility is to design, develop & maintain efficient Data models for the organization maintained to ensure optimal query performance by the consumption layer.
• Developing, Deploying & maintaining a repository of UDXs written in Java / Python.
• Develop optimal Data Model design, analyzing complex distributed data deployments, and making recommendations to optimize performance basis data consumption patterns, performance expectations, the query is executed on the tables/databases, etc.
• Periodic Database health check and maintenance
• Designing collections in a no-SQL Database for efficient performance
• Document & maintain data dictionary from various sources to enable data governance

Requirements

• Extensive working experience in Designing & Implementing Data models in OLAP Data Warehousing solutions (Redshift, Synapse, Snowflake, Teradata, Vertica, etc).
• Programming experience using Python / Java.
• Working knowledge in developing & deploying User-defined Functions (UDXs) using Java / Python.
• Strong understanding & extensive working experience in OLAP Data Warehousing (Redshift, Synapse, Snowflake, Teradata, Vertica, etc) architecture and cloud-native Data Lake (S3, ADLS, BigQuery, etc) Architecture.
• Strong knowledge in Design, Development & Performance tuning of 3NF/Flat/Hybrid Data Model.
• Extensive technical experience in SQL including code optimization techniques.
• Strung knowledge of database performance and tuning, troubleshooting, and tuning.
• Knowledge of collection design in any No-SQL DB (DynamoDB, MongoDB, CosmosDB, etc), along with implementation of best practices.
• Ability to understand business functionality, processes, and flows.
• Good combination of technical and interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication; detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.
• Any OLAP DWH DBA Experience and User Management will be added advantage.
• Knowledge in financial industry-specific Data models such as FSLDM, IBM Financial Data Model, etc will be added advantage.
• Experience in Snowflake will be added advantage.
• Working experience in BFSI/NBFC & data understanding of Loan/Mortgage data will be added advantage.

• You have 7 years or more of backend development experience with expertise in designing and implementing high-performance applications.
• Worked with and built high performance products using Node Js/GoLang/ Python and have seen the product evolution cycle from PoC to Production 
• You have a deep understanding of design principles and can rightly judge/implement solutions to complex problems
• You are capable of writing high-quality code that conforms to the standards and best practices in a particular language/framework.
• You have experience building a product using a mainstream library or framework.
• You love to own end to end responsibility, starting from defining the problem statement (either yourself or alongside your peers), development (PoC if needed), testing, releasing in staging & then production environment, and finally monitoring.

Preferred:

• Previous work experience in product-based startups
