ERP ↔ TM Integration (Core)
DRFOUT (Data Replication Framework) configuration for master data replication: business partners, locations, materials, and organizational data from S/4HANA to decentral TM
SOAP/XI web service configuration for transactional integration: sales order → transportation demand → freight order → delivery → PGI → FI posting
RFC destination setup (SM59), logical system configuration (BD54), SOA Manager endpoint registration
Regression testing of any custom BAPIs, RFCs, or Z-programs affected by version mismatch between core S/4HANA and decentral TM instance
SAP BTP Platform (Integration Layer)
SAP Integration Suite (formerly CPI) — iFlow design and configuration for all external system integrations
BN4L connectivity setup: carrier collaboration flows, freight order tendering, tracking event consumption, carrier portal provisioning
Event Mesh configuration for real-time event-driven patterns (delivery confirmation → billing trigger, carrier status → TM event update)
API Management setup for REST/OData endpoints used by carrier portals, mobile apps, and third-party systems
BTP subaccount architecture, IDP/SSO configuration for external carrier users
Carrier EDI Integration
EDI message mapping and testing: 204 (Load Tender), 990 (Response), 214 (Shipment Status), 210 (Freight Invoice)
EDI partner profile configuration per carrier — message format validation, acknowledgment handling, error/exception workflow
Coordination with carrier IT departments during integration testing — you will be on calls with carrier EDI teams troubleshooting message failures
External System Integration
FourKites / project44 → SAP TM: real-time GPS tracking event consumption via BN4L connector, ETA updates, and exception alerting
