Job Summary:

Position : Senior Power BI Developer

Experience : 4+Years

Location : Ahmedabad - WFO

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive and user-friendly Power BI dashboards and
• reports.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Perform data modeling, DAX calculations, and Power Query transformations.
• Integrate data from multiple sources including SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, and APIs.
• Optimize Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards for performance and usability.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to ensure data accuracy
• and relevance.
• Ensure security and governance best practices in Power BI workspaces and datasets.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for existing Power BI solutions.
• Stay updated with Power BI updates, best practices, and industry trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a
• related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in data analytics or business intelligence.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI (Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service).
• Strong expertise in DAX, Power Query (M Language), and data modeling (star/snowflake schema).
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing them for performance.
• Experience in working with large and complex datasets.
• Experience in BigQuery, MySql, Looker Studio is a plus.
• Ecommerce Industry Experience will be an added advantage.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Experience with version control tools such as Power Apps & Power Automate would be a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Power BI Certification (PL-300 or equivalent is a plus). Experience with Azure Data Services (Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Synapse).
• Knowledge of other BI tools (Tableau, Qlik) is a plus.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, R) for data analysis is a bonus.
• Experience integrating Power BI into web portals using Power BI Embedded.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 8-12 years of experience in front-end development, with a strong focus on React.js.
• Proven experience with React.js and related technologies (e.g., Redux, React Router, Hooks, Context API).
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, Server Sent Events, WebSockets
• Hand’s on experience with web components, microfrontends
• Deep understanding of browser apis like history, intersectionobserver, event handling, virtual panes, drag and drop etc
• Ability to work on a complex and fast moving code base.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and its integration with React applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Developing new user-facing features using React.js
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
• Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

Skills:

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Experience in GraphQL
• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
• Experience with popular React.js workflows (Redux)
• Familiarity with newer specifications of ECMAScript
• Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
• Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization

Job description

The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who will work in coordination with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain our next generation websites and web tools. You will also lead a team of junior developers and designers to execute projects end to end. You must be comfortable working as part of a team while taking the initiative to take lead on new innovations and projects.

Responsibilities

• Development of responsive and SEO friendly web pages in WordPress from Figma designs.
• Developing and maintaining website backend in WordPress or PHP including MySQL database.
• Development of responsive front-end with HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery.
• Development of custom and re-usable components in form of WordPress plugins and themes.
• Doing performance testing and optimizing websites.
• Lead website development for projects, working alongside a team of developers in creating, maintaining, and updating the client's websites
• Oversee the development for website redesign projects by working closely with other internal developers
• Direct the team on sprint requirements and output
• Evaluate completed work and offer answers to roadblocks
• Troubleshoot for website issues and bugs, brainstorm options and provide client-friendly explanations for solutions
• Lead the UX strategy for new web projects to develop the proposed sitemap, wireframes, and user flows, based on the client’s needs
• Complete the front-end development tasks, including website maintenance, plugin updates, CSS improvements, and post creation
• Collaborate directly with designers to implement designs and provide feedback if necessary
• Ensure the websites are client-friendly, and have an intuitive back-end to allow for easy content and page updates
• Participate in client meetings, WordPress back-end training sessions and create training materials as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• A minimum of 2+ years of experience with WordPress custom theme & plugin development
• Prolific experience in WordPress
• Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery.
• Understanding of responsive and SEO friendly web design.
• Strong debugging skills.
• Extensive experience in HTML and CSS
• Demonstrable experience in UX strategy & methodologies
• Prolific experience in JS and building responsive and accessible websites
• Solid understanding of web standards, cross-browser behaviour, and performance
• Develop user-friendly backend with PHP, custom fields, ACF or Gutenberg
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Working ability to translate designs into semantic, accessible front-end code
• Familiarity with web servers and deploying code with GitHub
• Prior experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar design applications
• Nice to have knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics
• Fluent in verbal and written English

• Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
• Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
• Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests
• Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience
• Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
