What We’re Looking For

What You'll Be Doing:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements (NDAs, business cooperation, service agreements, technology services, donations, etc.)
- Prepare and manage key corporate and labor law documents
- Provide daily legal support and guidance to different departments
- Conduct legal research and ensure compliance with local and international regulations (including GDPR)
- Support the setup and operations of international offices
- Manage relationships with banks, authorities, law firms, and other external parties

What Were Looking For:

Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience

We are seeking a Technical Specialist (TS) to join our team. The TS is a hands-on expert in both insurance processes and technical solutions, bridging the gap between business requirements and system performance. In this role, you will be directly responsible for configuring, optimizing, and enhancing underwriting platforms, ensuring that forms, raters, and integrations work seamlessly. You will play a key role in building and maintaining SQL-driven solutions that support clients in the insurtech space.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Mapping for Forms & Raters
- Map backend database fields to front-end user interfaces for accurate data presentation.
- Configure and maintain digital insurance forms (applications, dec pages, endorsements, claims, schedules, coverage summaries).
- Build and manage rater integrations with underwriting systems using SQL, APIs, XML, and spreadsheet mapping.
- Validate rating outputs to ensure premiums and calculations follow business logic.
2. SQL Development, Reports & Validations
- Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and validations.
- Develop automated reports and outputs (BDX, renewals, loss runs, compliance audits).
- Build and maintain Quote Covers, ensuring correct rating logic and business rule application.
- Use SQL for deeper system enhancements, including troubleshooting data flow and optimizing performance.
3. Configuring & Enhancing Underwriting Platforms (C1/Other)
- Configure system components such as UDTs, templates, invoices/checks, and workflows.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize performance (e.g., slow reports, broken data flows).
- Collaborate with underwriting and compliance teams to align system setup with operational needs.
4. API, JSON, and XML Integration
- Integrate underwriting systems with external APIs (e.g., driving records, carrier services, risk tools).
- Transform and structure data in JSON/XML for seamless communication between systems.
- Manage third-party integrations, ensuring accuracy and reliability of connected workflows.
Tools & Technologies
- SQL & SSMS – advanced development of queries, procedures, reports, and validations.
- Adobe Acrobat Pro – form design and field mapping.
- Infomaker (PowerBuilder) – reporting, form development, and data mapping.
- Mapping Utilities & Excel – for rater and spreadsheet integrations.
- APIs (REST/SOAP) – JSON and XML for integrations and data exchange.
Collaboration & Workflow
- Partner with Business Analysts to translate requirements into technical specifications.
- Work with Quality Assurance to test, validate, and refine outputs.
- Collaborate with Developers for custom features, but own the majority of SQL- and configuration-driven development.
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on proficiency in SQL (development-level queries, procedures, validations, and reporting).
- Proven experience with underwriting systems (ConceptOne or similar).
- Familiarity with insurance workflows: policy issuance, endorsements, raters, claims, and reporting.
- Experience with APIs, JSON, XML, and integration practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on system optimization and troubleshooting.
- Clear communicator, capable of bridging business needs with technical solutions.
