We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Tester to join our Engineering Team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing, with exposure to SaaS or fintech products. This role involves ensuring product quality, reliability, and performance across web applications, APIs, and financial workflows while contributing to scalable automation frameworks and AI-driven testing initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities

• Design, write, and execute detailed test cases, test plans, and regression suites for web and API-based applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across multiple product modules.
• Build and maintain automated test suites using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
• Develop and enhance AI-based test suite creation and automation processes to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Test payment workflows, reconciliation logic, financial calculations, and transaction-related systems with high accuracy.
• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman and REST Assured.
• Validate backend data and perform data integrity checks using SQL queries.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.
• Participate in sprint planning, requirement reviews, and release validation activities.
• Monitor product quality metrics and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing standards.
• Ensure timely reporting, tracking, and closure of defects using defect management tools.

Required Experience

• 2–4 years of professional experience in QA / Software Testing for SaaS, fintech, or enterprise products.
• Hands-on experience with both manual and automation testing methodologies.
• Experience in AI-based testing frameworks or intelligent test automation is preferred.
• Exposure to testing financial systems, payment flows, reconciliation logic, or financial calculations is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of software testing lifecycle, QA methodologies, and defect management processes.
• Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent frameworks.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman and REST Assured.
• Basic to intermediate SQL skills for backend data validation and verification.
• Experience working with Agile / Scrum development environments.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams within a fast-paced startup environment.

Preferred / General Requirements

• Experience working with fintech, accounting, payments, or finance automation platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution workflows.
• Understanding of performance, security, and usability testing concepts is an added advantage.
• Passion for delivering high-quality products with strong attention to detail and customer experience.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field
• 3+ years of hands-on implementation/project management experience
• Proven experience delivering projects in Fintech, SaaS, or ERP environments
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial workflows
• Hands-on SQL experience, including the ability to write and debug complex queries (joins, CTEs, subqueries)
• Experience working with ETL pipelines or data migration processes
