Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Product Engineer to join our Global Support Team, focusing on our Power and Magnetic product line. This role involves supporting components vital for power and filtering circuitry, including RF and Power inductors, Common mode Chokes (CMC), Transformers, Ethernet magnetics, ferrite beads, Supercapacitors and other power management components.
Work Environment: The successful candidate will be positioned as a full-time employee at Abracon’s Center of Excellence located in Bangalore, India. The candidate will have the option to engage in a hybrid work-from-home arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead product design, development, and quality enhancement initiatives.
- Collaborate with global teams in manufacturing, product management, and quality assurance to translate concepts into production.
- Provide comprehensive product support to sales teams, assisting customers with new designs and product recommendations.
- Contribute to the development of the product roadmap for Power and Magnetic products, aligning with market needs and trends.
- Develop and execute test plans essential for development and design validation.
- Develop and maintain engineering records such as Source Control Documents (SCDs), Engineering Change and/or Process Control Notifications (ECN/PCN), and End of Life declarations (EOL)
- Create market-facing technical articles, including technical briefings and white papers, showcasing products and demonstrating solutions for specific applications.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline internal processes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Material Sciences or related field. Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) preferred.5+ years' experience as an electrical / component / applications / NPI / product engineer
- Demonstrated expertise in product design and development within the power and magnetics electronic components industry.
- In-depth understanding of electromagnetic materials and their applications is a plus.
- Deep knowledge of electrical circuit theory, electromagnetic principles, and power electronics.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in multiple time zones.
- Ability to understand engineering concepts, research and effectively create white papers, application notes, technical briefs and other product-focused collateral.
- Strong multitasking abilities and proficiency in working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ability using hands to perform component analysis and testing, PCB assemble and soldering.
- Ability to use standard test equipment including oscilloscopes, Impedance Analyzers, LCR equipment, spectrum & network analyzers, DMM’s, frequency counters, programmable power supplies, temperature chambers, HIPOT equipment, etc. is essential
- Working knowledge of networking technology like 802.3 wired Ethernet and 802.11 wireless technology used as the communication backbone in the laboratory.
- Experience with PCB design for production and/or reference designs. PCB design includes capability to design from customer requirements using schematic capture, implementing PCB design rules, performing circuit simulation and creating multi-layered PCB layouts.
- Previous experience using single-board computers (SBC) like Raspberry Pi, Arduino, etc. is preferred.
- Familiarity with scripting languages, like Python is preferred.

Electric vehicle charging infrastructure solutions. ( SC1)
- Circuit Design (Schematic Entry), Digital, Analog & Power.
- High-speed PCB Layout Design, up to 8-Layer, routing high current tracks (up to 30A)
- Experience on “Altium Designer” will be added advantage.
- Experience with ARM processors & AVR Controllers will be preferred.
- Preparing Design and test procedure documentation.
- System integration and Testing.
- Hardware Troubleshooting.
- Awareness of PCB Fabrication & assembly Processes.

- Min. 3-4 years HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE below is mandatory. Altium Designer/Allegro (Preferred tools) Design of multilayer impedance-controlled PCBs
- Schematic symbol and Footprint Library Creation as per IPC standard.
- Hands-on experience with high speed and mixed-signal multilayer layout design.
- Component Placement and Routing plan preparation for design effectiveness
- Complex layout design with DFM and DFT Considerations.
- Gerber Generation and CAM Validation
Required Skill Sets:
- Knowledge of DFM & DFT
- Knowledge of layer stack-up build.
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC considerations for the successful layout design.
- Knowledge of IPC standards.
- In-depth knowledge of PCB fabrication process and Assembly.
- Knowledge in deciphering 2D/3D CAD DRAWINGS
- Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and processes.
Qualification:
- Diploma/BE/B. Tech in Electronics or any other discipline.
