Job Description The Sr. DevOps Engineer will have the primary accountability of implementing and operating cloud platforms. You will be providing support to developers/other teams, in isolating, diagnosing,reproducing, and fixing technical issues in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for: ensuring the availability, performance, and readiness of the environments and automation stacks. Must be a motivated self-starter and self-learner, possess strong customer service and technical problem-solving skills; and be someone who embraces challenges. The individual will also present a significant background in Linux administration, familiar with all common tasks involved in daily platform management. Responsibilities Operate, Administrate and Support AWS. Creation, and provisioning of infrastructure in the Cloud. Responsible for general health and maintenance of cloud service offerings Manage and operate the infrastructure and configuration of applications with a focus on automation and infrastructure as code. Support & troubleshoot scalability, high availability, performance, monitoring, backup and restores of different environments Deploy, Automate, Support, Troubleshoot and Maintain services/applications Evaluate performance trends and expected changes in demand and capacity, and establish the appropriate scalability plans Manage and run application servers, web servers, databases, batch jobs, file transfers, monitoring tools like Newrelic Provide technical support by identifying, investigating system performance issues, troubleshooting, resolving, monitor availability and documenting technical issues Engage in post-issue analysis to examine incident response performance, identify areas for service improvement, and monitor the progress of implementing recommendations Collaborate with other engineers to implement operational solutions while defining, adhering to industry best practices. Share an on-call rotation and be an escalation contact for service incidents Facilitate timely and relevant communication of escalated incidents to impacted stakeholders Incident / Service and Change request management and Ensure that SLAs are met in executing operational tasks Write, update and enhance documentation (KB's, SOPs, runbooks, playbooks) around troubleshooting and feature details Collaborate with dev teams to refine in-application diagnostics (e.g., error logging and reporting) and consolidate data across cloud-based services. Qualifications 3+ years related professional experience Experience in Configuration/Managing of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins. Experience with automation tools/platforms, alerting, and monitoring tools ( Kibana , Newrelic) Demonstrated proficiency in Systems Administration in Linux/Unix (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat,etc) Experienced in analyzing, troubleshooting, and providing solutions for technical issues. preferably including database systems (Mongodb , DocumentDB), web applications, and Linux systems Technical support experience interacting with customers and working with ticketing systems Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, troubleshooting,and customer service skills Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing environments Hands-on experience with a wide array of DevOps tools Working knowledge of information security issues Firm grasp of at least one programming language, beyond advanced scripting (Shell, Python) experience using configuration management frameworks (e.g. Ansible) Working knowledge of web and network protocols and standards (HTTP, TLS, DNS, etc) Experience in automation tools & eagerness to "automate all the things" Added Advantage Experience using Infrastructure as Code (IAC). Certification in AWS. Experience using Docker/Kubernetes.
