Job Description:
We are looking for a Hardware Design Engineer (5–8 years) to join our core engineering team. The role involves end-to-end ownership of embedded hardware design, including schematics, component selection, library creation, and guiding PCB layout through fabrication in collaboration with PCB teams. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, a practical understanding of real-world systems, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
We are looking for a serious, long-term professional who is passionate about hardware design and willing to take full ownership of product development.
Job Responsibilities:
• Design and develop end-to-end embedded hardware systems (analogue & digital) from concept to production
• Architect and implement designs using MPUs/MCUs (i.MX, Sitara, STM32, Renesas)
• Develop robust schematics, perform component selection, and ensure reliability, safety, and compliance considerations
• Implement and integrate high-speed and industrial interfaces (DDR, Ethernet, USB, CAN, RS-485, SPI, I2C, UART)
• Perform circuit simulations and design validation using tools like PSpice / LTSpice
• Work closely with PCB layout engineers to:
• Define stack-up and routing constraints
• Ensure Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI)
• Review and approve PCB layouts
• Analyze schematics and design documents to guide PCB placement and routing strategy
• Lead board bring-up, debugging, and root cause analysis
• Use lab tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.) for hardware validation and troubleshooting
• Ensure DFM/DFT compliance and support manufacturing, assembly, and testing
• Drive designs through prototype (PCBA), validation, and production readiness
• Collaborate with firmware and mechanical teams for system-level integration
• Participate in design reviews, risk analysis, and issue resolution
Required Skills:
• Strong expertise in analogue circuit design (power, filtering, protection, signal conditioning)
• Solid experience in digital design using MCU/MPU-based system
• Hands-on experience with:
o NXP i.MX / TI Sitara (MPU-based systems preferred)
o STM32 / Renesas microcontrollers
• Proven experience in high-speed hardware design:
o DDR memory interfaces
o Ethernet, USB, and high-speed communication buses
• Strong understanding of Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI)
• Experience working with and guiding PCB design using:
o Mentor Graphics Xpedition
o Cadence Allegro o Altium Designer
• Hands-on experience with simulation tools (PSpice, LTSpice)
• Strong hardware debugging skills using:
o Oscilloscope
o Logic analyzer
o Multimeter
• Experience in board bring-up and hardware validation
• Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFT (Design for Testability)
• Exposure to EMI/EMC design practices
• Experience in taking designs from schematic → PCB → PCBA → validation → production
• Good understanding of hardware–firmware interaction and system integration
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capability.
MANDATORY CRITERIA:
- Education: B.Tech / M.Tech in ECE / CSE / IT
- Experience: 10–12 years in hardware board design, system hardware engineering, and full product deployment cycles
- Proven expertise in digital, analog, and power electronic circuit analysis & design
- Strong hands-on experience designing boards with SoCs, FPGAs, CPLDs, and MPSoC architectures
- Deep understanding of signal integrity, EMI/EMC, and high-speed design considerations
- Must have successfully completed at least two hardware product development cycles from high-level design to final deployment
- Ability to independently handle schematic design, design analysis (DC drop, SI), and cross-team design reviews
- Experience in sourcing & procurement of electronic components, PCBs, and mechanical parts for embedded/IoT/industrial hardware
- Strong experience in board bring-up, debugging, issue investigation, and cross-functional triage with firmware/software teams
- Expertise in hardware validation, test planning, test execution, equipment selection, debugging, and report preparation
- Proficiency in Cadence Allegro or Altium EDA tools (mandatory)
- Experience coordinating with layout, mechanical, SI, EMC, manufacturing, and supply chain teams
- Strong understanding of manufacturing services, production pricing models, supply chain, and logistics for electronics/electromechanical components

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborative work with cross-functional teams, including post-silicon bench validation, BIOS, and driver development/QA.
- Hands-on experience with Cadence Allegro/Altium EDA tools is essential.
- Familiarity with programming and scripting languages like Python and Perl, and experience in test automation is advantageous.

Hardware Engineering
- Design and optimize airframes (multi-rotor, fixed-wing, hybrid) using lightweight composites and advanced aerodynamics.
- Develop and integrate propulsion systems, payload modules, batteries, and custom PCBs.
- Implement sensor fusion systems (LiDAR, GPS, cameras, IMUs, radar, RF) for navigation and mapping.
- Ensure compliance with safety, EMI/EMC, thermal, and environmental standards.
Hardware Engineers
- B.E./M.E. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electronics, or Robotics.
- 3 - 5+ years in UAV/robotics design and prototyping.
- Strong CAD & simulation skills (SolidWorks, CATIA, ANSYS).
- Hands-on experience with avionics, PCBs, propulsion, RF, and power systems.
Required skills / knowledge
• Experienced in software development and proficient in one or more of the following
programming languages - Python, JAVA and/or Perl.
• Experience with SDLC (software development lifecycle) best practices with large software
development projects is a must.
• Good knowledge in Computer Science fundamental
• Good organizational and English communication skills, prioritization of multiple projects and
objective.
Preferred skills / knowledge:
• Knowledge of storage technologies and disciplines namely, Fibre Channel, ISCSI, SCSI, NFS, CIFS,
POSIX, Object Storage, SAS, SATA, FLASH (NVME, SSD, etc.), RAID, Erasure Coding,
Distributed/Scale-out Storage, File systems, High-availability methods, working knowledge of
databases etc. are strongly preferred. Understanding networking protocols and connectivity
preferred.
• System Architecture experience within enterprise UNIX (RHEL)/Windows Server environments,
Container environments (RH Open Shift/Kubernetes/Docker, etc.) and Cloud environments
(Azure/AWS/Google) is highly desirable but not required.
• Understanding of Client/Server, Scaleout architectures, virtualization, performance and capacity
management strongly preferred.
• Good knowledge and experience of using Linux provisioning and system configuration
management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Salt Stack, or Chef strongly preferred. Experience in
automation of a large-scale Linux deployment is preferred.
• Effective troubleshooting skills across O/S, network and storage.
