Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, edit, and deliver accurate and effective documentation for Virtana products.
- Work closely with Engineering, Product Management, QA, Support, and members of the Information Development team to ensure quality and accuracy of content.
- Follow our documentation guidelines to produce high quality documentation.
- Prioritize projects when working with multiple engineering teams.
- Analyze customer feedback before and after delivering documentation to enhance content depth, quality, and relevance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience writing documentation for Cloud or Enterprise products.
- Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Technical Writing is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience writing release notes and creating videos.
- Experience with XML, DITA.
- Familiarity working with Jira and Confluence.
- Good collaboration skills with the writers and cross-functional teams.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Technical Writer and Business Analyst with a strong background in development and architecture who likes to get into the details! The ideal candidate will play a key role in assisting with Tech Diligence reports by gathering information from various teams and translating it into a format that is easily understandable by business stakeholders. Expertise with Generative AI ( LLMs) is required.
Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical information and insights for Tech Diligence reports.
· Analyze technical documentation, code repositories, and other relevant resources to extract key information.
· Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and compelling written content suitable for business stakeholders.
· Develop and maintain documentation standards, templates, and style guides.
· Review and edit technical content produced by other team members for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
· Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in technical writing.
· Expert at using Generative AI ( LLMs)
Experience & Background
- 7 + years of experience in technical writing.
- Strong foundation in structured documentation methodologies (DITA, XML, modular writing, etc.).
- Proficient in Google Docs, MS Office, graphs, and visualization tools.
- Solid understanding of various technology stacks and ability to document them effectively.
AI & Documentation Automation
- Strong exposure to AI-driven documentation tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, AI-assisted metadata tagging, etc.).
- Experience with documentation automation and content optimization workflows.
- Genuine interest in working with AI-driven tools to enhance documentation processes.
Resume & Communication Skills
- Concise and well-structured resume with minimal grammatical errors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (this is mandatory).

Technical & Documentation Tools
- Proficient in API documentation, doc-as-code workflows, and structured writing approaches.

Mandatory Skills
- Experience in Technical Writing/Information Development
- Experience writing topic-based and task-oriented documentation according to company style guidelines, requiring minimal editing from senior ID staff

Roles, Responsibilities
- Effectively collaborate with project stakeholders to scope ID work
- Attend ID and Dev core meetings to understand ID requirements and plan, write and maintain concise but complete internal and external technical information (end user manuals, troubleshooting topics, compliance documentation, API descriptions) in compliance with client and team guidelines
- Independently research for relevant information and perform content reviews
- Work alongside multiple teams in a fast-paced agile environment towards providing high quality written content.
- Follow recommended style and business guidelines; using approved templates
- Being technically savvy in the areas of documentation by being hands-on with new and current product features
- Being proficient in usage of documentation tools & systems and aware of new technologies in documentation, industry best practices.
- Delivering the work allocated in time and with quality including translations and documentation build packages
- Education - BS or BA. English, Computer Science or Engineering
- Experience - 8+ years of experience in Technical Writing; developing software and hardware documentation for global customers.
- Tools
- Authoring/Editing/Publishing - MadCap Flare/MadCap Central (preferred) or experience in any one of the topic-based/DITA-based authoring tools such as Oxygen XML, XMetal, Framemaker (structured).
- Source/version control - Git/Gerrit, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
- Feature/Defect Management - Jira, Rally, or any industry-standard, agile project/defect management software.
- Collaboration and Process Management - Confluence, Wiki
- Domain - Familiarity with compute, cloud, storage, network, security, or virtualization technologies.
- Communication and writing - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
