Senior Civil Engineer – Renewable Energy (Hydro / Wind Projects)

Position Overview

Soham Renewable Energy is looking to appoint a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer with 20+ years of experience in civil construction, specifically for solar and wind renewable energy projects. The role involves end-to-end responsibility for civil works, from design review and planning to on-site execution and project delivery.

Experience & Age Criteria

Total Experience: Minimum 15+ years in civil construction

Relevant Experience: Proven experience in solar / wind / renewable energy projects

Age: 40 – 50 years

Key Responsibilities

·       Lead and oversee civil and structural works for solar plants, wind farms, and hydro projects

·       Solar: foundations, mounting structures, roads, drainage, control rooms, substations

·       Wind: turbine foundations, access roads, hard standings, crane pads

·       Hydro: dams, canals, intake structures, penstocks, powerhouses, spillways

·       Review and approve designs, drawings, BOQs, estimates, and construction methodologies

·       Manage EPC contractors, consultants, and site teams to ensure quality and timelines

·       Monitor project schedules, budgets, and cost controls

·       Ensure compliance with safety, statutory, and environmental regulations

·       Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and project management teams

·       Conduct regular site inspections and resolve complex technical challenges

·       Lead contractor meetings and provide progress reports to senior management

·       Mentor and guide junior engineers and strengthen site execution teams

·       Support land development, geotechnical studies, and infrastructure planning for renewable sites

Required Skills & Competencies

·       Strong expertise in civil construction for renewable energy projects

·       In-depth knowledge of RCC, pile foundations, structural steel, geotechnical works

·       Experience handling large-scale infrastructure and energy projects

·       Strong leadership, planning, and stakeholder management skills

·       Ability to manage multiple project sites

Educational Qualification

B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering

Master’s degree is an added advantage

Job Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Field Sales Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a background in Civil Engineering (Diploma or Degree) combined with a passion for sales. You will be responsible for visiting construction sites, meeting with contractors and builders, generating new business, and closing deals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Generation: actively scout for new construction projects and potential clients (Builders, Contractors, Architects, and Civil Engineers) in the assigned territory.
• Field Visits & Cold Calling: Conduct daily field visits and cold calls to establish contact with decision-makers at construction sites.
• Technical Sales: Explain the technical specifications and benefits of our products/services to potential clients using your civil engineering knowledge.
• Proposal Management: Prepare and share accurate commercial quotations and technical proposals with clients.
• Closing Deals: Follow up on submitted quotations, negotiate pricing and terms, and successfully close sales to achieve monthly revenue targets.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Diploma in Civil Engineering or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Strictly Required).
• Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in Field Sales, Business Development, or Marketing within the Construction/Building Materials industry.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and site terminology.
• Travel: Must be willing to travel extensively within the city/region for site visits.
• Skills:
• Excellent negotiation and convincing skills.
• Proficiency in local language (depending on location) and English.
• Basic computer skills (Excel/Email) for quotation sharing.

• Should be proficient in using Primavera(P6) & MS Project software.

• Should have good working knowledge of design, procurement and construction/ field services workflow processes.

• Should have the ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary team environment.

• Experience in Pro-Services Cost Controls & Monitoring would be an added advantage.
