As ServiceNow Architect at L3 level, you will be the strategic technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions. Job Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Solution Architecture & Design
· Lead the design of end-to-end ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, ITAM, HRSD, and emerging modules
· Own the architectural vision and technical roadmap for enterprise implementations
· Conduct requirements analysis with executive stakeholders and translate business needs into scalable, enterprise-grade technical designs
· Design and implement solutions leveraging Common Services Data Model (CSDM) alignment for platform consistency
· Architect multi-instance strategies for large-scale, geographically distributed deployments
· Ensure solutions incorporate best practices, scalability, performance optimization, and future-readiness
Technical Leadership & Mentorship
· Provide architectural guidance and mentorship to L1 and L2 engineers and developers
· Establish technical standards, coding guidelines, and architectural best practices for the practice
· Lead technical design reviews and solution validation against enterprise architecture frameworks
· Champion thought leadership within the ServiceNow ecosystem through innovation and quality delivery
· Coach development teams on advanced scripting, API usage, and platform capabilities
Strategic Planning & Governance
· Partner closely with senior client leadership to define platform strategy and long-term IT roadmaps
· Drive technical governance frameworks including security, compliance, and operational controls
· Plan and manage complex system upgrades, patches, and feature releases with minimal operational impact
· Define integration strategies and manage dependencies across legacy and modern systems
· Lead capacity planning and performance optimization initiatives
Integration & Data Architecture
· Architect complex integrations using REST, SOAP, OAuth2, JWT, MID Server, and Integration Hub
· Design data management strategies ensuring integrity, consistency, and efficient utilization
· Lead integration solution design with third-party enterprise platforms (SAP, Salesforce, Azure, AWS, etc.)
· Oversee data migration, transformation, and import strategies using Import Sets, Data Sources, and Flow Designer
· Implement API-based integration architectures and event-driven solutions
Advanced Configuration & Customization
· Oversee customization and configuration of ServiceNow modules ensuring scalability and maintainability
· Design and implement advanced customizations including custom modules, scoped applications, and extensions
· Lead configuration decisions on CMDB structure optimization and asset management
· Architect workflow automation solutions using Flow Designer, Business Rules, and Script Includes
· Design advanced reporting and analytics solutions leveraging ServiceNow analytics platform
Quality Assurance & Deployment
· Establish and enforce quality standards across development, testing, and production environments
· Lead implementation of CI/CD pipelines for update set management and deployment automation
· Conduct system and integration testing strategies, ensuring reliability and performance
· Manage release management processes and coordinate cross-environment deployments
· Drive performance tuning and optimization initiatives for platform health
Client Engagement & Documentation
· Act as the primary technical subject matter expert and escalation point for complex engagements
· Facilitate architecture workshops and technical solutioning sessions with stakeholders
· Produce comprehensive solution documentation including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation guides
· Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
· Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive engagement and thought leadership
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
· Monitor emerging ServiceNow features, modules, and platform enhancements
· Evaluate new technologies and assess their applicability to client environments
· Drive innovation initiatives that enhance platform value and operational efficiency
· Contribute to organizational knowledge base and best practice documentation
· Stay current with ITIL service lifecycle, enterprise architecture frameworks, and industry trends
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience & Expertise
· 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing ServiceNow solutions across multiple modules
· Minimum 3 years in a lead or architect role managing enterprise-scale implementations
· Deep expertise in ServiceNow instance management, architecture design, and configuration (ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, ITAM,VMS,FSM Modules)
· Proven track record of architecting and delivering complex, multi-module solutions in enterprise environments
· Expert-level understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities, modules, and industry best practices
Technical Skills
· In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow architecture patterns, design principles, and the Common Services Data Model (CSDM)
· Advanced proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide APIs, Business Rules, Script Includes)
· Extensive hands-on experience with job scheduling, workflow automation, and scheduled scripts
· Expert-level knowledge of ServiceNow integrations: REST APIs, SOAP, OAuth2, JWT, MID Server, and Integration Hub
· Proven expertise in data management including Import Sets, Transform Maps, Data Sources, and data integrity strategies
