Team Lead VB.Net

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of applications built on VB.Net
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and adherence to best practices
• Architect solutions and provide technical direction for new features and enhancements
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues escalated by the team

Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of developers, ensuring timely delivery of assigned tasks
• Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and support the professional growth of team members
• Allocate tasks effectively based on team members' skill sets and project priorities
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture

Project & Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure smooth project execution
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Manage project timelines, provide status updates, and proactively flag risks/roadblocks
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and, where required, client stakeholders

Process & Quality

• Ensure adherence to coding standards, SDLC processes, and documentation practices
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in development processes and team productivity
• Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices for maintainability and scalability

Requirements:

• Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application in the web/win platform.
• Proven experience as a .NET Developer or Application Developer.
• Hands-on experience in ASP.NET framework, SQL Server and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-Controller (MVC)).
• Hands-on experience of at least one of the .NET languages (e.g. C#, Visual Basic .NET).
• Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC).
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
