·       4+ Years Hands on experience with web automation using Selenium, JavaScript technologies

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

·       Build the test suite for the UI automation where web pages are generated using UI as a service

·       The test suite is expected to be built on Cypress.io

·       Develop and implement automated test scripts by enhancing the existing / new framework and architecture

·       Write functional and end to end tests using JavaScript technologies, Selenium etc

·       Develop reusable utilities and test scripts which can be shared across the platform

·       Document defects effectively and collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to have them resolved

·       Participate in the Agile execution and take part in the required agile ceremonies

·       Be an integral part of the development process, evangelising TDD and collaborating with software engineers across the development cycle.

Essential Skills

• Java, Spring, Java Script, understanding of design patterns, Selenide/Selenium, Feign, TestNG, Rest API, Karate, GEB, Oracle, Dynamo DB, Rest Assured.
• Develop and enhance next generation Test Engineering Automation solutions in a Continuous Integration environment (CI/CD pipeline)
• Should be able to understand the components and basics of AWS
• Must have strong knowledge in developing various automation frameworks for front end back-end and middle tier,.
• Experience with both UI and API automation.
• Experience in working on project using agile software development principles.
• Experience in building test plans, executing strategy and reporting
• Should be able to work independently with very minimal support.

Role Description

A fully hands on technical role where the SDeT is expected to work in a cross functional squad including Product Mgmt, Software Engineers, SDeTs, OPS/SRE and be responsible for understanding the feature requirements, understanding the platform architecture, functional flows, determine what test cases are relevant and implement the API/Service/UI automation.

• Develop and enhance next generation Test Engineering Automation solutions in a Continuous Integration environment (CI/CD pipeline)
• Define, design, development, documentation and maintenance of tools and Automation Frameworks for current and next gen Software Platforms/Frameworks as part of an Agile team
• Collaborates cross-functional end to end teams to triage and resolve technical issues
• Be a key technical player in contributing to the architecture evolution of Full-stack Test Automation Frameworks and related capabilities that includes UI, REST services automation solutions
• Promote culture of writing test scripts on 1st hour of development cycle to eliminate wait states and helps in speed to market
• Experience with Java, Selenium, Rest-Assured, JMeter to design and develop Automated Testing solution
• 5 years of combined experience in a ecommerce/ Retail business and / or Information Technology role, three of which in a Quality Assurance / testing role
• Understanding of manual, automation, regression, performance testing role
• Understanding of and experience working in an Agile and Waterfall environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and Demonstrated experience leading, training, and guiding small teams, Provide guidance, training, and mentoring of Test Engineers
