Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Sr.SAP ABAP Developer with strong expertise in the HR and Payroll domain to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in ABAP development, strong debugging skills, and the ability to independently handle complex technical challenges in enterprise SAP environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance SAP applications usingABAP (HR module).
• Work extensively onObject-Oriented ABAP, interfaces, reports, and enhancements.
• Develop and implement solutions usingEnhancement Framework, BADIs, Interactive Reporting, and OOPS concepts.
• Create and maintainGlobal Classes and Methods based on business and client requirements.
• Provide strong technical expertise inSAP HR and Payroll, including payroll processing and related objects.
• Performadvanced debugging and root-cause analysis to resolve complex technical issues.
• Write, review, and validatetechnical specifications and design documents.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Independently manage critical issues and deliver high-quality solutions within defined timelines.
• Ensure adherence to SAP development standards and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

1. 8+ years of overall experience in software development with strong focus onSAP ABAP (HR module).
2. Hands-on expertise in:
3. Object-Oriented ABAP
4. Interface Programming
5. Reports, Enhancements, BADIs
6. Strong domain knowledge inSAP HR and Payroll.
7. Working knowledge ofSAP HANA andSAP BTP framework.
8. Proven experience in writingtechnical specifications and design documentation.
9. Excellent analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills.
10. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Eligibility Criteria

• Education:Graduate / Post-Graduate
• (BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech).
• 8+ years of relevant SAP ABAP development experience (HR/Payroll focus preferred).

Job Description/Responsibilities

• Candidate should be strong in Core ABAP + S4HANA Implementation/Migration

• Good hands-on knowledge on Core ABAP and OOABAP

• Must have Implementation and Migration to S4HANA.

• Good hands-on experience and knowledge is required on OData, CDS, AMDP, RAP

• Experience in SAP Enhancement Framework.

• Experience in Dialog Programming, Smart Forms, SAP Script, User Exits.

• Dictionary, Business Add-In, BADIs, Data Interfaces, RFC, ALE, ALV, IDOCS, BDC, BAPI, BDC, LSMW, Web-UI.

• Good Knowledge on SAP Tables Fields, Domains and on creating Search Help.

• Experience in SQL Trace, SAP Run time analysis, Debugging ABAP, Query Info Sets.

• Experience with report development, performance tuning, modification, and support of SAP customized and standard programming.

• Knowledge in web services (SOAP/REST/HTTP POST).

• Experience in using/ working with ABAP, OO ABAP, Reports, BAPI, BADI, User Exits, ALV Reports, Module Pool, BDC, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, ALE/IDOC, RFCs, HANA - CDS view, Attribute Views, Procedure, AMDP and ADBC experience, HANA Native Views Attribute View, Analytic Views, Modelling and Procedures and HANA XS and Search experience.

• Work on development, enhancements/ changes and implementation of SAP-ABAP projects.
• Provide high quality support throughout the project.
• Conduct defect analysis and perform necessary fixes and enhancements.
• Collaborate with functional owners, architects and other personnel to develop systems to meet the requirements.
• Create technical specification and estimations for assigned project.
• Work in compliance with the programming and documentation standards.
• Assist in unit testing of ABAP programs.
• Ensure project completion within the allotted timelines and budget.
• Troubleshoot production problems in a timely manner.
• Maintain and update existing program codes as needed.
