SAP CO Consultant – S/4HANA Migration / Brownfield Implementation

Total Experience Required: 15 years of total experience

Relevant Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience in SAP CO

Implementation Deployment: Global and overseas client environment

Location: Bengaluru

Work Mode: Hybrid – 3 days per week (Mandatory)

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced SAP CO Consultant with strong hands-on consulting experience to support and execute a global SAP ECC to S/4HANA brownfield migration project. The consultant will be part of a large-scale implementation involving 120+ company codes/legal entities across multiple countries.The role requires strong SAP CO functional expertise, prior experience in global SAP projects, and the ability to work directly with international stakeholders and end clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Run and execute SAP CO activities for a brownfield S/4HANA implementation project.Participate in requirement validation, process analysis, configuration, and solution design.Support migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA in an on-premise environment.Validate existing SAP CO processes and ensure alignment with S/4HANA standards.Work with global business teams, overseas clients, and crossfunctional SAP teams.Support workshops, design discussions, configuration, testing support, cutover, and deployment activities.Identify process gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities during migration.Ensure deliverables are completed within project timelines and quality expectations.Communicate clearly with

stakeholders across geographies.

Mandatory Skills

10+ years of strong hands-on SAP CO consulting experience. Core SAP CO experience in areas such as: Cost Center Accounting Profit Center AccountingInternal Orders Product Costing Profitability Analysis Month-end and year-end closing processes Integration with FI, MM, SD, and PP Integration with 3rd party systems Experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration projects. Strong understanding of ECC to S/4HANA migration approach. Experience in global rollout /global implementation projects. Ability to work with multiple company codes, legal entities, and countries. Strong client-facing consulting experience. Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Profile

Candidates from consulting companies / SAP implementation partner background will be preferred. Prior experience with global or overseas clients is highly desirable. Experience in large enterprise SAP transformation programs. Ability to work independently and drive assigned workstreams. Strong documentation, workshop, and presentation skills.

Experience Required: 5+ years in Data Analysis, with ERP migration experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and map data from SAP to JD Edwards structures.
• Define data transformation rules and business logic.
• Assist with data extraction, cleansing, and enrichment.
• Collaborate with technical teams to design and execute ETL processes.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation before and after migration.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand master and transactional data requirements.
• Support the creation of reports to validate data accuracy in JDE.
• Document data mapping, cleansing rules, and transformation processes.
• Participate in testing cycles and assist with UAT data validation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong experience in SAP ERP data models (FI, MM, SD, etc.).
• Knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne data structure is a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data profiling tools.
• Experience in data migration tools like SAP BODS, Talend, or Informatica.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• ERP migration project experience is essential.

Job Description :

1)SAP FI Consultant Chartered Accountant or MBA from premier institutions.

2)Knowledge of IAS/US GAAP/IFRS preferred8- 10 years of relevant SAP Experience.

3)Should have worked on at least 3 end to end implementations or 2 end to end implementations and 1 roll out projects Relevant domain experience and in his domain he should have worked in finance function in a manufacturing vertical Good knowledge in SAP Financial and Managerial Accounting solution.

4)Working experience in New GL, AP, AR, AA, CCA, PCA, Product Costing and COPA Experience in supporting Accounting: Month-End-Closing and Year-End-Closing Strong understanding of integration with other modules controlling, Cash Management and/or Project System Deliver of New Business Request/ Change Request with good quality, the defined timeline and the defined budget.

5)Experience of IDOC ,Interfaces ,LSMW, BAPI ,workflow knowledge & Analyse clients business needs & opportunity to propose the matching solution to client Good verbal and written communication skills.

Mandatory skills -  SAP FI

• Responsible for planning and executing SAP Implementation / Development / Support activities regarding SAP Finance and Controlling (FI-CO) specifically in the Treasury module.
• Understand client requirements, provide solutions, functional specifications and configure the system accordingly.
• Ability to create presentation/workshop decks for Blueprint that need to be conveyed and be able to present them to the client.
• Ability to create Process Flows in Microsoft Visio’s for the client’s proposed business processes.
• Ability to create Process Definition Document / Design Document (PDD), Business Design Documents (BDD) and Business Process Procedure (BPP) for the solutions provided.
• Ability to configure SAP FI-CO (Finance and Controlling) Treasury module and deliver work products / packages conforming to the Client's Standards & Requirements.
• Strong configuration hands on experience in FI - Treasury module.
• Integration of the FI-Treasury module with other SAP modules and with external applications.
• In addition to the above the candidate should have been involved in the following during the life cycle of SAP implementation:
• Unit Testing, Cycle Testing
• Integration Testing
• User Manual Preparation
• User Support activities
• Exposure to ASAP and other structured implementation methodologies
• Regularly interact with the onsite team/client
• Provide status updates in daily/weekly conference calls
• Maintain cordial relationship with onsite team/client

Skills/Experience Requirements:

• 3 to 6 years of functional domain experience and 3 to 6 years of working on the FI-CO module in SAP implementation projects
• Minimum one end-end implementation experience in version 4.7 upwards. ECC 6 would be a plus
• Hands on experience in configuring / defining the following in the FI-Treasury module:
• Cash Management
• Cash Position
• Liquidity forecast
• Fixed Term deposits
• Forward rate agreement
• Trading with fixed & variable bonds & stocks
• Cross currency interest swap
• Creation, Execution, Processing, Posting & settlement of the above orders
• Should have good written and oral communication skills
• Must be a good team player
• Familiarity on the basic business processes with the following

• SAP FI - GL/AP/AR/AA
• SAP CO - CC/PA/IO
