Position: Senior Façade Designer

Role Objective: To lead and direct the Façade Design team in the development of innovative, high-

performance façade, glazing, and cladding solutions. The role is fundamentally responsible for the

technical integrity, quality, and successful delivery of all façade design outputs, from conception

through to execution.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

 Design Leadership & Strategy:

o Lead the comprehensive design process for major façade projects, establishing

innovative concepts and solutions.

o Provide technical leadership, oversight, and mentorship to the entire design team.

 Technical Governance & Final Approval:

o Serve as the final technical authority for the review and approval of all detailed

façade drawings and specifications.

o Ensure all designs rigorously adhere to architectural plans, engineering

requirements, and both local and international building codes.

 Team & Stakeholder Management:

o Manage and lead project teams, comprising designers and engineers, to achieve

project objectives.

o Act as the principal liaison between the design department, project execution

teams, and clients.

 Innovation & Quality Assurance:

o Govern the quality control process and direct rigorous performance assessments of

all façade systems.

o Remain at the forefront of industry advancements and champion the

implementation of new technologies and cost-effective solutions.

Mandatory Candidate Profile:

 Education: A Bachelor's degree/Diploma in (Civil /Mechanical) Engineering or a closely

related technical field is mandatory.

 Experience: The candidate must demonstrate a minimum of 7-10 years of extensive and

progressive experience in façade design.

 Technical Knowledge: Expert-level proficiency in advanced CAD software and façade design

tools is required , along with profound expertise in diverse façade materials and systems.

Reporting Structure:

 The position reports directly to the Design Manager or the Head of Façade Design.

Responsibilities 

• Identify opportunities for new products

• Set design requirements based on briefs from internal teams and clients

• Research materials and techniques

• Sketch drafts on paper or digitally (for example, using CAD)

• Mock-ups and prototyping

• Use 3D modelling software to design products

• Produce prototypes and test functionality

• Improve the design of existing products

• Gather feedback from product users

• Presentation

• Strong knowledge of the industry and market trends

• Provide assistance to product engineers when needed.

• Recommend new tools and technologies by staying abreast of the latest trends and

  techniques

• Handy and experienced with all materials in the market.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• 5+ years’ experience as a Product Designer

• Experience in industrial design

• Creativity in mixing up colours, shapes and techniques

• Hands-on experience with computer-aided design tools

• Good knowledge of 3D modelling software

• Time-management skills

• Adaptability

• Excellent attention to detail

• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members

• A well-rounded portfolio of client work, demonstrating a strong understanding of client objectives.

• Passion for design; not satisfied with the status quo and always thinking of ways to improve

• Skilled in making detailed technical working drawing of the product

• Creative problem-solving skills
