Job Description: As a Junior Software Test Engineer you will be responsible for creation of test cases and scenarios, test planning, testing of systems, test automation and reporting of test results. In addition, responsibilities will include working closely with programmers and analysts as well as programming and improving testing tools.
Role and Responsibilities
- Analyze users’ stories, use cases, requirements for validity and feasibility
- Collaborate closely with other team members and departments
- Execute all levels of testing (Functional, Integration, Regression and System)
- Knowledge on API’s Testing and Database Testing
- Review and provide comments on business and software requirements
- Prepare test cases, scripts, and data for the tests
- Execute manual test cases
- Understanding on SDLC, STLC and Bug life cycle
- Analyze the outcomes of the tests and keep track of the software testing metrics
- Prepare and present test reports
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of software testing experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent)
- Experience with web, Mobile and API Testing
- Basic knowledge of object-oriented programming ( Java or Python)
- Basic knowledge of SQL
- Experience in creating test documentation (Test Plan, test report, basic test metrics)
- Knowledge of at least one database management system
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Knowledge of the software development methodologies and the ability to integrate with the models (e.g. Agile, Waterfall)
- Awareness of Latest Web and Mobile Technology Trends
- Strong knowledge of software testing types and the ways to apply them
