Role & responsibilities

• Strong written/verbal communication skills
• Minimum 5-12 Years of Core Java Programming with Collections Framework, Concurrent Programming, Multi-threading (Good knowledge in Executor service, Forkjoin pool and other threading concepts)
• Good knowledge of the JVM with an understanding of performance and memory optimization.
• Extensive and expert programming experience in JAVA programming language (strong OO skills preferred).
• Excellent knowledge on collections like, Array List, Vector, LinkedList, Hashmap, HashTable, HashSet is mandate.
• Exercised exemplary development practices including design specification, coding standards, unit testing, and code-reviews.
• Expert level understanding of Object Oriented Concepts and Data Structures
• Good experience in Database (Sybase, Oracle or SQL Server) like indexing (clustered, non clustered), hashing, segmenting, data types like clob / blob, views (materialized), replication, constraints, functions, triggers, procedures etc.

What will I be doing? 👩💻👨💻

1. You will be owning features through inception, design feedback, implementation, and launch. This will include building test plans for new features and improvising on existing test plans for feature updates and customer feedback.
2. You will collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, Backend Engineers, Data Engineers, and Customer Support

1. Strong quality sense and experience working closely with web/mobile development teams
2. Excellent communication skills and passion for tough technical problems
3. Attention to detail and voice of customer experience
4. Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus
5. Experience in championing customer feedback post-launch and bringing it to the attention of relevant teams
6. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience

PYTHON DEVELOPER 

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Python code 
• Design and implement software platform with Microservices Architecture, based on AWS Lambda and Event sourced data 
• Integration of data storage solutions {may include databases, key-value stores, notification queues, etc.} 

• Integration with various backend monitoring tools 
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems 
• Help maintain code quality, organization and automatization 
• Participate in early product demonstrations to customersExperience required: 
• Bachelor's or Masters in Computer Science or a related discipline 

• 2-6 years of relevant professional experience 
• Delivery of quality results within aggressive timelines

About the team

BiteSpeed started out in the dorm rooms of BITS Pilani when we hardly knew much about running a company, in fact most of us hadn’t written a line of code in our lives.

About the role

We’re looking for a Technical Lead to join our founding team and lead our product development. If you’re someone who thrives on high ownership, can figure stuff out on your own and wants to be part of the zero-to-one journey, this might be for you.

• Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code.
• Develop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements.

• A highly talented developer with 6-9 years of hands-on experience in building secure and scalable web based applications using Java in backend and JS based frontend frameworks
• Strong knowledge of Java 8+, databases (SQL and NoSQL) , MySql, Mongo
• Experience working with Cassandra, Spring Boot, Apache Spark, Kafka, RabbitMQ is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of any one or more of AngularJS/ReactJS/VueJS and CSS3, HTML5.
• Strong experience in data modelling for data storage tools in SQL; experience with noSQL is highly desirable.
• Experience building scalable solutions for 2x, 5x and 10x growth with high quality and flexibility.
• Practitioner of test driven development practices. Experience in creating and adhering to best practices for development.
• Experience working with container technologies like Docker and knowledge of CI/CD processes for automated integration and deployment. Basic knowledge of AWS preferred.
• Strong experience in Microservices (SRP) paradigm.
• Willing to learn new technologies (Golang).
