Java Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Location: mumbai, bangalore, pune

Mode of Work : 3 days from Office

DSA(Collections, Hash maps, trees, Linkedlist and Arrays, etc), Core Oops concepts(Multithreading, Multi Processing, Polymorphism, Inheritance etc) Annotations in Spring and Spring boot, Java 8 Vital features, database Optimization, Microsevices and Rest API

• Design, develop, and maintain low-latency, high-performance enterprise applications using Core Java (Java 5.0 and above).
• Implement and integrate APIs using Spring Framework and Apache CXF.
• Build microservices-based architecture for scalable and distributed systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for high/low-level design, development, and deployment of software solutions.
• Optimize performance through efficient multithreading, memory management, and algorithm design.
• Ensure best coding practices, conduct code reviews, and perform unit/integration testing.
• Work with RDBMS (preferably Sybase) for backend data integration.
• Analyze complex business problems and deliver innovative technology solutions in the financial/trading domain.
• Work in Unix/Linux environments for deployment and troubleshooting.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3– 8 years of strong hands-on experience in Core Java, Spring boot, microservices, data structures.
• Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Proven experience with Spring, CXF, and REST/SOAP web services.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience working with Sybase or other relational databases.
• Expertise in multithreading, concurrency, and high-throughput server-side development.
• Exposure to capital markets, sales & trading platforms, or similar financial services applications.
• Good working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience in solution architecture and design documentation is a strong plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and a proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with global teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Previous experience in investment banking, capital markets, or financial technology domains.

Person should have strong knowledge in -

Must Haves

• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems.
• 4+ years’  work experience in  software development
• BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Understanding of operating system fundamentals (Linux)
• Understanding of scalable computing systems, software architecture, data structures, and algorithms
• Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills, with excellent problem solving abilities
• Working experience with Kubernetes
• Experienced working with distributed databases at scale

Good to haves

• Experience in developing software using AWS native services & technologies.
• Experience taking a lead role in building and operating scalable distributed systems
• Experience in Agile/SCRUM enterprise-scale software development
• Familiar with building secure software using modern security principles
• Demonstrated ability to achieve goals in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment

Requirements:

• Experience in Enterprise Java building restful microservices
• Strong Exposure to any of the Java Enterprise frameworks such as Spring, Vert. x, Quarkus or others
• Good exposure to databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB etc
• Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities along with excellent communication skills.
• Any exposure to UI programming using REACT JS or AngularJS is a plus
• Preferred candidate who can join in 15 days or max 30 days.

• Independently own one or more multiple modules, which includes: requirement analysis, design, development, maintenance & support
• Write extensive, efficient code to address complex modules and that handles interaction between multiple components. 
• Rapidly iterate to add new functionalities and solves complex problems with simple and intuitive solutions
• Produce architecture with clean interfaces, that are efficient and scalable
• Participate and contribute to architectural discussions
• Perform design and code reviews
• Perform technical feasibility and trade off studies & guides others to perform these studies
• Solve production issues. Investigate and provide solutions to minimize the business impact due to outage
• Continuously improve performance metrics of modules you own.
• Actively mentor and develop junior developers in all software development practices
• Participate in the hiring process (referrals, interviews, attending recruiting events or writing blogs)
• Onboard and mentors new team members, helps shape the culture of the team
