Role: Senior Software Test Engineer

As a part of multiple, small product teams practicing Agile, you will do it all: develop test strategies, test

new products, and code automated and performance tests that push our products to their limits!

Responsibilities:

• Analyze product specs, decompose complicated software systems, and design strategies to test

these systems.

• Work as an Agile team member participating in backlog grooming, sprint planning and task

estimation.

• Devise automation test strategies, expand and maintain test automation for the applications you

support.

• Represent Test Engineering in any technical discussion, decision and design involved during

product development.

• Drive adoption of new test strategies and tools you are passionate about.

• Mentor and guide others on the team.

Required experience:

• 6+ years of experience in Software Testing.

• 4+ years of automation experience testing Web, Mobile applications using Java.

• Solid experience testing and automating REST services.

• Extensive experience using SQL databases

• Experience with Git, Jenkins & Maven

• Passion for finding problems with software, figuring out solutions, and helping ensure they never

happen again.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

• Bright, motivated, and intellectually curious (you know if you are!)

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related information technology degree (or at least 7+

years of industry experience).

Preferred experience:

• Experience using NoSQL databases like MongoDB

• Experience working in cloud platforms like AWS

What you will be doing:

• SATISFIC is a product-based company; hence will be required to work on product development and support.
• Need to work on the following technologies – Angular, Node JS, Core Web API and PostgreSQL.

• Coding computer programs.
• Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code and libraries for future use.
• Implementation of security and data protection.
• Timely completion of daily assigned projects as per requirements
• Complete adherence to all metrics and parameters associated with each project through completion of project.
• Effective Time management.
• Mentor and assist Trainee/ Junior Software Engineers to complete assigned tasks.
• Check coding standards and deliverables against each project/product specifications for their own and their junior engineers before delivery.
• Develop module specification documents for internal purpose.
• Lead continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives.
• Develop innovative solutions that improve the efficiency and reliability of the deliverables and system.

About your experience:

• Total work experience of more than 5 years and minimum 3+ years in development
• Has led a team of developers and coders on Node js
• 3-4 years of proven experience in Node.Js and frameworks available for it.
• Strong proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications.
• Expertise with Services (REST, SOAP, JSON) and APIs (Service-oriented architectures).
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes.

Qualifications:

• Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software engineering or related area from a good institute is preferred

Reports to: Lead- Software Engineering

• Collaborate with Dev, QA and Data Science teams on environment maintenance, monitoring (ELK, Prometheus or equivalent), deployments and diagnostics
• Administer a hybrid datacenter, including AWS and EC2 cloud assets
• Administer, automate and troubleshoot container based solutions deployed on AWS ECS
• Be able to troubleshoot problems and provide feedback to engineering on issues
• Automate deployment (Ansible, Python), build (Git, Maven. Make, or equivalent) and integration (Jenkins, Nexus) processes
• Learn and administer technologies such as ELK, Hadoop etc.
• A self-starter and enthusiasm to learn and pick up new technologies in a fast-paced environment.

Need to have

• Hands-on Experience in Cloud based DevOps
• Experience working in AWS (EC2, S3, CloudFront, ECR, ECS etc)
• Experience with any programming language.
• Experience using Ansible, Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes
• Experience in Python.
• Should be very comfortable working in Linux/Unix environment.
• Exposure to Shell Scripting.
• Solid troubleshooting skills

Desired Candidate Profile

• B.E/B.Tech and/or MBA
• Relevant experience of 7-10 years
• Understanding of customer needs and making appropriate proposals

Simultaneously develop app and target for both Android and iOS using third party SDKs and APIs

Required – React Native, Firebase Integration, Third Party SDK integrations

• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code.
• Perform Code reviews of other team members.
• Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
• Implementation of security and data protection
• Integration of data storage solutions.
• Liaise with the product management team and architect the application / improve the architecture wherever necessary.

Skills And Qualifications

• 7+ years of the overall experience.
• Strong Practical knowledge and understanding of RESTful API
• Excellent Python coding skills and understanding of Python best practices (PEP8)
• Should handle a team of minimum 4 members
• Excellent detail-oriented, problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, principles, and solutions
• 7+ years of good hands-on experience in Python, with knowledge of Django
• Good hands-on experience in SQL Database (MYSQL / Postgres)
• Familiarity of Front End Development ( ReactJS )
• Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes.
• Strong unit test and debugging skills
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools GIT.
• Has experience of working in an Agile Environment.
• Fluent in English (written and oral) Fluency in a second language is preferred.
• Comfortable working remotely with great communication skills for a remote work environment.

Bonus qualifications

• Knowledge of any cloud. ( Especially Azure )
